PW. Spent the weekend up in Lancashire :) some woman might be nursing a bruised arm tonight as she wouldn't move her cases out of the way so I had to lift mine up to get past her. I did apologise just in case but there wasn't any need for her to be stood in the aisle with a case 5 times bigger than mine!!

Stop apologising! I guessed your phone might have been playing up. I haven't got rid of my old one yet

Misery guts picked me up so all I had to do was wait. My train was delayed and still he was late  xxx

Can I ask which Boots coupon you tried to use please? I've seen a conditional spend but it was specifically for electrical products. There's nothing in the T&Cs that say these cannot be used, just simply that Ts will accept any conditional spend coupons.

I had a few from a mother and baby brochure that was sent by post. They were £5 off a £20 spend - not product specific so well within the Tes terms and conditions. Had no problem using the remaining ones in another branch - it was only KnaG that hadn't a clue. Even have used apgs in the tiny Express at BalHak and they were fully clued up on it.

What a good idea. My DD has a Ford Focus which she founds expensive to run so while she is looking for a smaller car I am letting her share my Micra ( 1993 bought for £350.00 4 years ago and have only spent about £250.00 in 4 years including MOT).
I have a friend who does a bit of dealing and he is on the look out for us. He says that there are finally some cheap small cars coming back on sale after the Government scrappage scheme. He will find us a car, do any small repairs and mot it and only adds 10% for his trouble. My micra is the 4th car we have had from him.
    Absolutely recommend what you're describing.

The cars that dealers will only give a few hundred for are still worthwhile for people to drive for a year pr more. It helps if you know someone who will carry out reasonable repairs and be honest about what can ad can't be done.

A breakdown service man was interviewed in a paper years ago and admitted new cars were a waste of money and the best value cars were the really old ones where you pay a few hundred to buy it and few hundred on repairs /fixing it up and then you thrash it and trash it.

Actually I did read it but haven't you ever tried something just because? I knew what the T&C said, but lets face it they don't always follow their own rules. And if you only have a receipt for 6 things...why not try out the pp anyway? There may be glitches of all kinds after all.:)

That is exactly why I did a 7 item shop with bag reuse in the first place. And why post 1 has said bag re-use counts as an item for months now ;)

    (I wasn't referring you to the T&Cs :p)

    Evening everyone:wave:.
    No posted for a while.
Been busy in RL but lurking trying to catch up on the goings on with the Elite.:)

It's nice to see some of the old Elite posting again.

    :)

Not been to supermarket much over that last week or so. So nothing to report on that front. Although I do have a few APG to use (2 not printed yet) but they will be printed soon.

Went to the cinema this evening to see new James Bond film.
Used 2 tickets from sweet sunday's promotion so did not have to pay directly to see film. Been ages since we have been to the cinema.
If we had to pay it would have cost over £8 EACH:eek::eek:
    Could not believe the cost.
Still got 4 tickets to use between now and middle of january.

    Off to catch up.:)
i took dw today, using sweetsunday tickets to see 007. i thought the film was a lot lot better than the last 2 bond films. i have 4 more sets of tickets to use lets hope there is another glitch on the sweets. i think it was about 40p per bag on the glitch a few months back making it about £3.20 for 8 bags of sweets and 2 cinema tickets:D:D
