Well my coupon shop went not too bad, there were a couple of things OOS so I paid a wee bit more than I had hoped, but still pretty good. One of my coupons was out of date and I didn't realise
It wouldn't scan and that was why, but I was able to return them to the CS with no hassle so that was another couple of quid back. So £18 for a £40 shop, not too shabby a result
I've been busy cleaning since we got back  Bathroom is sparkling, I do love the Cif Mousse from the A's glitch
Organised my kitchen cupboards. The one under the sink is fit too burst what with all the Lenor, Ariel Stain Remover, Non Bio washing gel, Fairy Liquid etc etc
Even sorted out the food cupboards, if I keep this up I'm going to need to lie down in a dark room very soon :rotfl:...those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.

Thank you Fudge_Cake, you reply brought a tear to my eye. So nice of you to respond and offer your support. I am so introvert that people tend to ignore me or think I am being unwelcoming, but really I just want to have people around me and enjoy their company.
I hope all my experiences can help other people on this thread because I find it so good and it helps me feel in contact with people when I am alone.

couponqueen123 wrote: »you and your mum need to order them windows! and pay for them .surly your mum hasnt got to ask them if she can have windows.?
once you have ordered and paid theirs nothing they can do also this winter is going to be cold why shuld they be warm and yr mum be cold
i find it strange how much control they have over you and your mum
you need to think along the line of
enough is enough they have held the rains to tight for two long
you and your mum need to team up and do what needs doing after its done if they dnt like it shut them out of your life's at the end of the day surely you and your mum want to live in piece and enjoy yr time together instead of worrying about what going to be questioned next
i mean all of this in the nicest way possible i just think you need to tuffen up (i know its easier said than done but they think they can treat you like crap do it to them)
my gran went in to a home her own choice we (the family pay extra for her to go to this one) she sold her house and gave her saving and pention up (we will have nothing when she dies )well i dnt see it as nothing as ill have memories that are priceless and peace of mind knowing nan was happy
anyway big hugs and cuddles and please look after your self its easy to forget when your stressed/busy
The windows are being installed under a council loan scheme that replaced council grants. Basically the council give the money to a loan company who lend it at a competitive interest rate that the council subsidise. Then the old person just pays the interest and the capital is paid off when they pass away. They came last February and did the assesment and Mum is having 8 new windows, 2 new doors and a patio window. There are already 4 replacement windows that were done about 20 years ago and they are ok. They are also making the electrics up to date and fitting a new radiator in the lounge ( that there is a grant for). The loan is about £7500.00 and includes 10% contingency ( in case they come accross any unforseen problems ) and a fee for the agency that does the forms etc for the council. Then all she has to pay is about £25.00 per month in interest. Bearing in mind her gas bill last winter was £166.00 per month as she is heating outside aswell as the windows are so bad.
But my eldest brother especially said it was a waste of money and it would not add value to the house so whats the point. ( This is the brother who left them with the mortgage and had about £40,000 from them already). After a lot of fighting with them they finally gave in about 4 weeks ago and we are just awaiting the forms to sign then it will be done.
I chased the chap on Friday and will call him again Monday to see where we are.
Regarding the bank accounts etc I am just going to ignore them and carry on as before. My eldest sister even wants me to ration my Mum's money and not let her use her debit card. ???
Thanks everyone0 -
