DIMM? That's funny.
Seriously. It will take you ten minutes. Once you've done it, you will wonder why it took you so long.
It looks as if there are a lot of instructions, but most of them are not pertinent to you.
After unplugging from the mains:
Removing the side panel: Two to three minutes. Locating and removing the existing module: Less than two minutes. Placing the new module in place of the old one: One minute. Placing the old module in a spare slot next to it of the same colour: One minute.
Replace side panel: Two minutes.
Click through my link in post #52, scroll down to Step 1 and double click on the large triangle in the middle of the picture beneath Show Me How. This will start a little video tutorial. Run through it a couple of times to familiarise yourself. It's simple.0 -
redbull wick note most free security programs don't have an active scanner so problems like this can occur, you need to take care when downloading executable files like films and music, emails that ask you to link to page these are often how you get an infected pc, if you can't use recovery console F8 to get your system back using safe mode, try using F8 and do a system restore this may fix your problem as it will remove the newest files or program that you installed prior to fault, then when you are back on to normal pc run a good antivirus checker such as bitdefender to check system, when done and your happy create a backup or image of your PC and if anything happens again run the backup or restore from image, an external or portable Hard drive will be needed but well worth it, failing all that if you have all your install discs for windows do a fresh install, wwarning you will loose all prgrames and files but if you have backup this is best way.0
