Looking at the combofix log, it would appear (to me at least) that bit's of AVG are still kicking around.
The DDS log is more up to date (Run 4 days later), only the %appdata% folder remains.

i still think i have malware
as every time i ran spybot & malware bytes
i had a few tracking cookies etc & always one called right media click
Tracking cookies are harmless. Some might consider them a privacy issue, but only the paranoid.
    http://www.computeractive.co.uk/ca/pc-help/1911652/what-tracking-cookies

Malwarebytes doesn't detect tracking cookies. If it's detecting something, post the log that shows it.

nothing you're being asked to do here needs you to fit more RAM, that's for later once the pc is sorted out and running properly :)

I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple :D

There's your problem, one is bigger than the other, trim out all those startup items that dont need to be running, and uninstall tuneup/spybot etc.

....or just fit the RAM module as advised. Your problems will go away.

Though once fitted, you should come back and let closed loose(a bit) on your PC.

Will be faster than when new.

Everything looks ok so far - I don't think at this stage this is a malware issue.

Your PC would benefit from a RAM upgrade. Although you can get XP running satisfactorily with a few tweaks here & there on only 512Mb, adding more RAM would be a big help.

Then download aswMBR and save it to your Desktop.

    http://public.avast.com/~gmerek/aswMBR.exe
    • Double click aswMBR.exe to run it.
    • Click the Scan button.
    • Wait till the scan reports "Scan finished successfully"
    • Click Save log & save the log to your desktop.
    • Click OK
    • Two files will be created, aswMBR.txt & a file named MBR.dat
    • Click EXIT.
    • Copy & Paste the contents of aswMBR.txt into your next reply.
Don't click to fix anything, just post the log

    I'll take a look tomorrow.
