10 months in WOW, and still double paying the mortgage every month.
My bank just wrote to me and dropped my payments to keep the term the same - Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
So I called them, and they agreed to put the payment back to what it was before.
Interestingly they were going to drop my mortgage payment by £40 ish a month..which I thought was a lot for what the MP is.
I had someone from northwood lettings come round (they guarantee rent no matter what) but pay you less in rental income! They only offered me £480 per month in rent for a two bed flat in Portsmouth...when most lettings people were saying it would rent out for £695 per month.
This has got me thinking. Am I doing the right thing overpaying ? Or should i be saving my overpayments, so I have a cash deposit in the bank to buy a house?
Anyone have any opinions - overpay or save??? I think I will need a £20-30k deposit on a house.MFW: Original December 2041 / Aim January 2028Current total overpayments: £0 Mortgage starts Dec 16It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop. Confucius0 -
