Buy some chocolate too then, I bought a pack of 7 for £2 yesterday. If you do buy them every day (based on the same calculations as yesterday) the that is £260 a year, buying the packs I did would have cost about £74! Tell me to shut up if you want!
    MFW 2025 No. 7 £700/£1200
    MFiT-T7 No. 6 £2392.98/£30,000

Nah that would be dangerous...I just need to stop eating choc at work! Next plan is to take no coinage to work...then I can't buy chocolate.

  • Managed to take pack lunch in for the second day in a row!

Tomorrow I am taking a frozen sandwich into work, and I will see if it taste's okay when defrosted.

I only spent 45p today - where normally on a Saturday at work it would of been over £5. I also managed to say no to the McDonald's shift breakfast too.

I have hit my target for number of premium bonds held..I was working on what to do with savings, and ISA's don't offer a great return so thought I would pump some into premium bonds and hope I win a million.

I can now start working on ISA savings, to get my emergency funds..and then bish on with the OP's to try and get the most into the mortgage as possible.

It's hard to save when I can just make the banks make less interest from me.

    Onwards and upwards

Have you used the MSE Premium Bonds calculator? It's sobering stuff!

    It's depressing stuff that calculator!

Still all the savings account seem pish, and as I learn to hate all main stream banks I would rather they did not hold all my emergency funds.

    Someone has to win it.

Do you need a FD account for that?? Oh I like that rate, is that still on?

I look at the Nationwide one, but they have pulled it.

No you don't - you can pay in £1500/mth or have a savings account instead.

Is that right, open a 1st account and open a monthly saver and there is no £10 per month fee...and they also offer £100 to switch ?
