Yes received the item yesterday :) If they had asked for the extra postage before sending the item to me I would have asked them to cancel the transaction.

I havnt heard anything from ebay yet, Ive got over 1300 100% positive feedback so not too worried

I definately would not pay any more postage the seller will have to put it down to experience or lack of it. Out of curiosity how much was the actual postage compared to what you were charged?

In the past I have been undercharged on a few occasions no one ever asked for the additional money. I did send a payment voluntarily as it was a charity sale and they did not make much on the actual sale.

I nearly undercharged a few weeks ago I was 1g off the maximum for the price band - I was so glad I didnt put an extra strip of tape on that parcel! However if it had gone over there was no way I would have asked the seller for more money as it was my mistake not theirs.

I would imagine she will get little sympathy from Ebay!

Unfortunately much of the time eBay CS says what people want to hear and has been known to give people advice how to sidestep some buyer protection issues, such as using the Freight option to get round postage caps.

I Paid £42 for a pair of Boots Plus £5 postage. The postage was £8.80 sent by royal mail.

I would have used a courier which would have been around £5 :rotfl:
