Are you for real? Why don't people know what it costs to post? It's all there, online for everyone to see. No secret!0 -
Decline it and then mention it in the feedback you leave..0

Ive not replied to the email yet. I mentioned it to my husband when he came in from work and he said not to send any more money

Ive used ebay for 7 years and have over 1300 feedback from buying and selling. Never been asked for more money after an acution before. I have made mistakes with postage in the past and have always took the hit myself and lernt from it. Now I weigh everything with digital scales and charge the exact postage (excluding petrol lol) :beer:0 -
Not trying to defend the seller here, but the way Royal Mail's pricing works, it's entirely possible for a miscalculation of only a few grams to make a huge difference like this in the postal cost. Nonetheless, as others have said, it's the seller's problem and if I were the buyer I would politely decline. Most of us here who sell on eBay have occasionally underestimated postage but wouldn't have the cheek to ask the buyer to pay the difference. I might be a little more sympathetic towards the seller if the item had sold for 99p, but even then it would still be their responsibility. And lets not forget the seller didnt just underestimate by a bit but more but over half original price more.0 -
Undercharged postage when i sold my 1st few items on ebay. Its a learning process. Weight the item with the packaging.
Never ever would i ask for more money.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Ive just bought something with free P&P.
Seller says he forgot to add postage and will get me a quote from parcelforce tomorrow. A quick look on their website and we are looking at £15.
I won't be paying it - i will just be leaving a negative.0 -
We bought a hardback book for 99p with £3.40 postage. Seller sent out the wrong book by mistake. Realised after posting and immediately set out the right one at another postage cost of 3.30 ish. He never asked for more postage etc.. And he wouldn't of got it out of us, even though he would of made a loss on this transaction.
People make mistakes and you have to live with them. Seller needs to learn from this and move on.
Do not pay anymore money. I would just ignore but mention in feedback.0 -
Underestimating postage is all part of the learning process as far as i'm concerned.
I'd decline paying any extra but send them this link and tell them they will find it worth more then the £3.30 they are asking for in the long run
