Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 23rd October. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!
As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred.
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.
Morning,
Headlight - Hope the Dentist helped y'day xx
Molly - Hope your feeling better now xx
Can't remember what else....Up early have taken DH to work, now in bed with a brew

Morning BB & all who cross & follow, it's the 23rd.
I hope Maud is ok & big hugs to Molly.
I slept better last night so hopefully I won't yawn all day today.
I've fed the fish & made hubby a cuppa, the packups are made & I've made an extra sandwich for myself as I don't fancy breakfast yet.
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs Hester

Morning All
#Cat woke me up meowing his head off:rotfl: He had food, only he wouldn't eat it as it was yesterdays! He isn't normally fussy. In fact he likes the cheapest food going, (probably because he spent eight months in the rescue centre) so don't know what was wrong this time. Anyway he's happy now:T
Having a cuppa and checking my emails.
DD is meeting me in town this morning. Taking my wheelchair, she'll push me about. I want to get November/December birthday cards, then I've got them.
Apparently foggy again today. We had sun in the end yesterday. OH stayed in fog.
Halight Hope you got the tooth sorted.
Lou Hope baby is being nice to you all!:rotfl:
Molly (((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))))))
Have a good day.I Believe in saving money!!!:T

Good morning all,
Too dark to see what the weather is like. All i can see is that it's not raining. We had fog all day yesterday, it just didn't lift.
Everyone is still in bed. I will get them up shortly. Packed lunches are done, tea is made.
The electrician is coming back today to do some finishing bits in the girls bedrooms. We have someone coming this afternoon to give us a quote for blinds. My Mum had this company and they made a good job and were very reasonable in price.
Spag bol for tea. Quick andeasy.
Halight, I hope the dentist sorted your tooth.
Bb, glad Maud is feeling better.
I hope everyone has a good day and hugs to those who need them.

Morning everyone
Hugs to those that need/want them that are having a hard/sad time at the moment x
Dark, dreich, foggy and damp here again this morning, fog barely lifted all day yesterday and doesn't look better today either. DH up and off to work stupid early.
Dinner last night was fish etc, all eaten and enjoyed, tonight will be LO's of the Sunday roast, so will make a casserole dish of gravy and put meat in and cook in the oven, may just do roasties with it as will have the oven on, and then use the steamer to do some extra veg as there isn't enough veg LO's. Have got up this morning and made boys pack ups, and made a batch of crumble topping - one of my colleagues is foreign and her girls go to english school and are asking for food they eat at school - she doesn't know how to make it, so have made a batch of crumble and copied the recipe for her too.
Work wasn't a manic Monday to start of with, but then did get very busy but not horrendous. I'm in early this morning to open up so will need to be on my toes shortly as still dropping ds2 off with his poorly toe, but he's much better and will be cycling at the end of the week. Look forward to finishing today as then know I only have half day of work left!
Have a great day everyone x

Morning all:j:j
I had a lot better nights sleep last night:T:T
I went to the dentist yesterday morning. He gave me some stronger pills. Told me to take them and also carry on taking the others.
Yesterday afternoon My mouth started to feel a lot better. The Pills that he gave me the other day must have finally started to work as well. Last night I even had something to eat as I could get my jaw open a bit more than I have been able too.
I still woke up In the night in pain but it was only the once. I was also only awake for about 30 mins while the pain killers kicked in. So I'm a lot happier this morning.
This morning a lot of the swelling has gone down. Some of the hard lump is still there but its a lot better than in was this time yesterday.:j:j:jYou can have everything you wont in lfe, If you only help enough other people to get what they wont.:j0 -
Morning :hello:
I sat down awkwardly yesterday and twisted my hip slightly. I spent the rest of the day limping, though it was nowhere near as bad as before. It seems OK this morning, just a bit tight.
Mr tru brought two boxes of Cornish Blue home yesterday :j A lovely lady had sold her shop and she let him have it cheap (ooo-errrrr!). Most of today will be spent rearranging the kitchen
One of the girls laid a huge egg yesterday, it's twice the size of the others. I've just weighed it - 3 1/2 ounces.
I've got loads to do. First clean out the chickens and guinea pigs, then write lists. I've got loads of ideas and I want to write them all down before I forget themThere's been a sort of block on my brain for the last few months, I think I'm finally starting to relax and think straight again. I say that now - tomorrow might be a different story

Morning everyone,
Halight glad the tooth is feeling better.
BB Great news about Maud.
Molly Lots of hugs.
Tru When we had chickens one of them would sometimes lay a huge egg, it was often a double yolker.
Had a lovely day in town with DD1 and DD2 yesterday. We only bought essentials (underwear, (including some pants in the right size for DD1!), hiking boots for DD1), but we had a lovely wander and a chat. We also had lunch at Pizza Exp***s due to some Mr T vouchers that I forgot that I had!
DS had friends round last night to play X Box, they were quite noisy but they didn't disturb University Challenge too much!
Today is a lot quieter. I am going to do some tidying and DD2 has a piano lesson.
Have a lovely day everyone.:)0 -

So the scales show another two pounds off this morning:j, whether that will still be the case at tomorrows weigh in we will wait and see.
Off out for a walk with my friend this morning, she is on half term this week so we will have a catch up.
Bit overcast but at least it's not raining.
Managed twenty minutes on the wii last night as it was too cold and dark to go out.
Already have a wash load in to go on the maiden.
Have a few bits to eBay today and need to catch up with Made in Chelsea my guilty secret:o
Tea tonight will be probably omelettes.
I have found a new series of books by Janet Evanovich which I love. The main character is Stephanie Plum, a bounty hunter. They are quite funny, I am to book four already!
Anyway onwards and upwards have a good day all J xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.
