Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
Good news - DVLA have confirmed that they are investigating my complaint re APCOA - have asked for more detail (Where the ticket was issued, etc.) Will post any further developments as and when.'People are stupid; they can only rarely tell the difference between a lie and the truth, and yet they are confident they can, and so are all the easier to fool.' That's at least TWO complaints (and pretty substantial ones as well) under investigation by the DVLA against APCOA now.
Not looking good for them.
Keep going Myriddin - sterling work so far!Je Suis Cecil.0 -
Do these goons operate at Birmingham Airport? I pass there quite often and could always take a short detour and come give them the opportunity to shoot themselves in the head.0

Can a corpse with both feet blown off shoot itself in the head?Je Suis Cecil.0

APCOA work for Councils as well - they issue penalty charges and Notice to Owners - and it would be HILARIOUS if they were to be banned by the DVLA.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I was there recently and NCP appeared to be the only operator at the Birmingham Airport site.0 -
Just a quick update following a gentle prod to DVLA asking for a progress report on my APCOA complaint: "[FONT="]This is still with our legal team for advice. The body of the letter plainly states the roles of the keeper and driver and the small print in the footnote, whilst wrong, needs to be considered in that context."
Not quite sure what is meant by 'considered in that context' but at least the complaint is being looked at.

The main part of the letter is right/acceptable the small print ain't! Looks or seems to me that they will only get a ticking off, a reproof, and told to remedy the letter. Might be wrong though. Hope I am.Got a ticket from ParkingEye? Seek advice by clicking here: Private Parking forum on MoneySavingExpert.:j0 -
They're looking for a wriggle.
In my opinion it doesn't matter, there is a statement in that letter that clearly misrepresents the legal position of the recipient, it doesn't matter if it contradicts itself somewhere else. What if the recipient just pays attention to that bit? Are they supposed to know which bit is correct and which bit isn't?
APCOA must have photos of someone at the DVLA in a compromising position with a goat is my guess.
Thanks for the update though.Je Suis Cecil.0
