If DVLA do wiggle out of a ban for APCOA it's probably more to do with losing income.APCOA must have photos of someone at the DVLA in a compromising position with a goat is my guess.
I understand that APCOA are a sizable International company - their website refers to 1.3 million parking spaces in 6,800 locations across Europe with a revenue of €731 million. One can buy an awful lot of goodwill (or Goats) with that amount in the bank!'People are stupid; they can only rarely tell the difference between a lie and the truth, and yet they are confident they can, and so are all the easier to fool.' Parking Eye can do no wrong in the eyes of DVLA.0 -
Yes I have complained a number of times about parking eye, nothing gets doneExcel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
NCP are the slipperiest of all and their signs beggared belief! :eek:PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Got a final response from DVLA today following my complaint back in October re APCOA.
No suspension, I'm afraid, but: '[FONT="]We have discussed this with the company and they have agreed to remove this footnote wording from future letters.'
At least it's cost APCOA a bob or two in reprints!

FoI request asking for all documentation regarding investigations into APCOA's compliance with BPA COP, including sanctions applied and reasons for applying (or not applying) them?0

On a completely unrelated note, did you know that the DVLA makes about £3m per year from selling drivers details to PPC's?

Hi,
I got a ticket from APCOA about a week ago now alleging that I was parked in a restricted area (signs were two spaces away and look like they directly relate to a specific couple of spaces being directly in front of them). I've parked in the same space every day since September 2012 and never got a ticket here before. And I'd paid for my parking so no loss to land owner if anything a small gain.
Do I ignore/appeal/pay it?
Any advice would be great I'm a law student but struggling to find precedent on the issue so assuming now its never been in court.
Thanks
Charlotte0
