Can anyone help me? I've just signed up with TNS and booked in my first assignment. I haven't got the pack through yet, but the online description detailed the budget and travel costs but doesn't seem to mention any fee on top of that. Does that mean that I just basically get a free meal (to the value of £x) and not paid any more on top of that, or am I missing something?

    Thanks!
If no fee is mentioned, then there's no fee, just a freebie meal, I'm afraid. :o

BTW we're not supposed to state the amounts for reimbursements/mileages on a forum ;)

Good luck for your first assignment, enjoy the meal! :)

Thanks Dormouse - edited my post!

Can't complain about a free meal, and I guess I can claim travel as well, even though it's within walking distance?

Thanks Dormouse; have emailed. I just didn't want to look too much of a twit if there was a bit on the website I should have spotted that only needed my name or something else I was supposed to already know, in order to log in to the job search area.
(Life's Great Mysteries No xxx: why do we never become immune to blushing?) I'm sure one day embarrassment will see me off.........
To think I was so chuffed to have passed the test first time, it all seems ages ago now. Silly me!

I'd say most of us would claim for the travel, since it has already been allocated, yes. ;)

The thing with TNS mileages is that they're always capped and don't always cover the actual mileage, so in some cases you win, some you lose.

You should be chuffed about passing the test - not everyone does. ;)

And don't worry at all about contacting them; they must be used to it. Their site has problems every now and then (like now!), their sign-up process is not always smooth, their paperwork doesn't always arrive on time - they must be used to MSers bugging them all the time. :D

Hi. I recently had exactly the same experience with this company and eventually emailed them and they apologised saying I should have received a welcome mail with login information. I was so thrilled at passing the dreaded test so well done for doing the same! Good luck and happy shopping!

Whoopee doo! Been dying to get home and share my news with my fellow ms'ers. I received a call from Onepoll this afternoon informing me that I had won £300 for a survey I completed a couple of weeks ago! The cheque should be with me in a couple of weeks. Have just been on the site and my name is in the previous winners list and I can't stop looking at it LOL

I had an email from TNS earlier, saying they were having problems with their system, but it should be ok now - i was able to log in and search without any problems!!!
