I always find that asking for a receipt at the chicken and burger places gives the game away!!!! So often i get a sudden smile and extra help once ive asked for the receipt.

Yes, I even got offered a daily paper once (in a burger joint! I ask you!)

And yes, Rachelja, the fees are always about the same. :( I don't think the NMW applies to self-employed people........

Was just wondering what NMW was!! Just got it. :) Don't thinks so on MS jobs esp when taking into account prep for new jobs.

I just like to ask now for receipts for fun whilst not on MS jobs - keeps them on their toes. :)

Is anyone else having problems logging in to TNS this morning? I am not impressed to get an automated message saying there is a problem, and asking me to ring a number which no longer exists :( (they obviously haven't updated the message since they moved!)

Speaking of logging in to TNS, can you wiser heads please enlighten me? I received a letter from them 4th April welcoming me to TNS (aaaah!) and enclosing a P46 form and Starter Form.
I returned these on 5th April, and haven't heard a dickie since!
Should I have had a further letter/email by now with login details, or am I being really dense here & missing out on opportunities galore?
The website I looked at didn't seem to have an MS area, but then again, (whisper it quietly) I may just have been known not to spot something before.
Please put me out of my misery: the wealth of TNS jobs available posts is making me feel very frustrated........

Was it a burger company by any chance? Their employees can spot a MS a mile off, as they know we order EVM......... I was at a dinner party where an employee was talking about MS (they call us 'Gaps' apparently - can't imagine why.... and the alarm ALWAYS goes off if anyone orders an EVM, apparently.
I always have an EVM even when I'm not MSing  (not that I go to the burger place that much, of course :rotfl: ).

I think they know by the receipts, and by my staring at their name badge.

Can anyone help me? I've just signed up with TNS and booked in my first assignment. I haven't got the pack through yet, but the online description detailed the budget and travel costs but doesn't seem to mention any fee on top of that. Does that mean that I just basically get a free meal and not paid any more on top of that, or am I missing something?

    Thanks!

I'd suggest chasing it up - do you have an email address for them?

I remember when I applied, there was a longish delay between me sending off the paperwork and receiving the login details, but once I emailed them, I got everything within 24 hours. :)

Good luck :) (And there aren't that many TNS jobs around BTW, unfortunately!)
