Has anyone done any assignments for International Service Check? I have one this week and they are asking for a report but it's not clear if they want it on top of or instead of filling in a questionnaire. They have given me specific things to time and look out for but I always get a bit nervy when its a new kind of job!

    Is it the shoe job?

They want the report as well as the questionnaire.

Also make sure that you take a camera and take some pictures of the receipt. They want the receipt number but I couldn't find. Luckily I had the pictures of the receipt to prove that I have been to the shop. I'm still not sure which one is the correct number ...

Actually I just had another look ... if you look at the receipt it will say "Description" and the name of the shoe just below. Below the name of the shoe you'll see a number. That's the one - according to ISC. ;)

I couldn't work out the receipt no. for Gfk's coffee - so put in a really long thing with hashes and all sorts, prob wrong but can always scan in the receipt and send it I s'pose.

I quite liked their ordinary coffee, and I usually drink a latte or cappucino!

Field Based Operations? = normal MS
Replenishment AFAIK laying out stock to a predetermined pattern
Merchandising laying out stock so it looks nice (using your own judgement rather than a pattern/following instructions.....I think
Stock Control monitoring levels of stock against instructions
Compliance Auditing 'open' MS where you go through a checklist at a venue usually with the manager/staff

do they mean in your normal work or in mystery shopping? I think they mean both, and I have certainly given them examples of where I have done some of the above in a previous 'real job'

Hope this helps - all the terms above are terms I've used in retailing, but some may have more specialised uses 10 years on, and in the rarified world of MS! :rotfl:

Can't re-register with identical details, as it says my username is (was) too short - have added an extra M at the end. This prob means you will have to re-set my authorities I'm afraid.

No time to do any more today.........

Thanks Wensie, it's not a shoe job, its for a jewelery and ornaments shop. Have now done it and completed the report and questionnaire - took ages!! More than 90 questions and a lot of repetition. Thanks for the tip about the receipt no, found it okay.

Hey ive just done my first job for TNS in a coffee shop. I read the description wrong so thought they paid £7.00 for the visit but that was the budget. When filling in the expenses should I write £7 or should I tell the truth, do they check? I only spent £2.83!
