I can't see why your post would be taken as spamYou weren't promoting the site or trying to persuade others to join & this is certainly not a site where Twirlypen would get a referrer's fee.
You simply asked for an opinion on joining a site which asked for a registration fee. As others have said, never pay money to join a site when there are loads out there that you can sign up to for free.
I'm also unsure why someone has asked for other people to report the post as spam? If I thought a post was spam I'd report it myself, not ask others to do it.
Anyway, welcome to MSE Twirlypen & good luck with the mystery shopping.0 -

Remember to ask for your receipt - I've just realised just how many places don't offer them unless you ask!!! (Although I hate to think how dodgy it looks when I ask for a receipt for something costing under a pound - wonder if that's when they twig I'm more than a pain in the neck customer! :rotfl: )0 -

When I ask for a receipt I usually tag a reason on the end of my request
eg can I have a receipt please, I'm just getting this for my neighbour/granny/mum
or, can I have a receipt please, my boss goes mad if we don't hand the receipts in0 -

Hi Chas
Thanks for your post. If I could just explain my position then maybe that would help?
I am a long-standing member of these forums especially the DFW forum. If a first time poster suggests something that you need to pay for then, as a general rule, it tends to be spam. You say that Twirlypen wasn't promoting a site but in Twirlypen's post she/he included a link. To me this constituents promotion. Whether or not there is a referrer's fee is irrespective. Many rogue posts get through and they are not looking for a referrer's fee.
The reason why I asked someone else to report it was because I was short on time and I cannot simply click on the abuse button as it doesn't work for me. I do not use the system they use.
I'm sorry if I misjudged Twirlypen's post. I apologise. Please remember that I have the hopes and aspirations of the DFW's at heart and I only try to get the best for them.
My post was based on my judgement. If my judgement was wrong this time then again I apologise.
Thanks

Thanks for that. Had been feeling a bit diconcerted. Am planning to register using some of the links on this forum that don't ask for money up front. Am a bit worried about trying to squeeze MS in with working full time. Does anyone else do this whilst holding down full time work?0 -
Thank you for explaining Annie Fanny & for apologising.
Now I can understand why you posted what you posted.0
