Maximising income - Mystery Shopping? Surveys?

Am I correct in thinking that I can't be a mystery shopper because I work in the retail sector?

Hiya Rachie B just come back from a mystery food shop, and discovered today I had won 1,000 tesco clubcard points in a competition !!! that is 3 wins in 2 weeks I am on a roll !.

I think if you are working in the retail sector it could be a problem due to conflicts of interest but I am sure a more experienced shopper can advise.

Gemzie, I work in retail too and its not a problem! Just be honest when you fill in your details, they will want to know who you work for and you wouldnt be eligible to do shops on them but otherwise your retail experience can also be an advantage as you are probably very aware of the standards expected so you know clearly what to look for automatically if that makes sense??

You'll be able to do some shops, but you won't be able to do the shop you work for or it's competitors - eg: if it's a shoe shop, you'll not be able to do any other shoe chains, but you'd be able to shop chemists, fast food, electrical goods shops etc.

Yeah, as long as you're honest for each assignment, usually you just shouldn't be working for the company that the MS is actually being done on.

Dormouse I was thinking the same for one particular company I did have 15 on the go but only 1 at the moment. I have been paid by 2 of the companies on Friday so with a couple of bucks in my pocket I want to do more.
