  • I overdid the mystery shopping yesterday and completed 5 assignments in one day. Still it helped the diet though 2 whiffs of the 2 fast food outlets and I opted for salad. The reports took awhile to do though so maybe I will not cram so many into one day from now on.

  • I completed my first MS lunch last Friday. A warning though, I had to order 3 drinks, 2 starters and 2 main meals. The total of which came to more than the maximum spend reimbursed. I've got another one tomorrow night, but I'll work out how the calculator on my mobile works before ordering!
On the plus side, I got a BIG free lunch, and dinner for tomorrow night is sorted, so I should just look on it as a free lunch & dinner.
Also, the one tomorrow night is in a pub, but I have to complete online within 12 hours, which means when i come home. Not sure how great my typing skills are after a couple of drinks.... hiccup!

Tip for the meal jobs: some companies set the reimbursement level to cover the cheapest meals on the menu only.

If it's a two people visit, it's usually cheaper to order the "platter to share" type starters than two seperate ones (assuming you are allowed to do this!) and keep away from the expensive main courses like the steaks!
Here I go again on my own....

ive got 6 on sept 2nd and another 5 on sept 3rd !!

oh dear my head hurts already :rotfl:
  • Rachie being a newbie mystery shopper I found it alot of info to absorb in one day although I did break up the day by visiting tescos and doing my weekly shopping !!

I do find now though that my product knowledge of certain items and certain menu items is far greater than before. I dithered on doing 2 jobs earlier and just checked and they had gone. Ah well I am sure there will be others.

What I found though was it was no problem visiting the various shops and outlets but expressing 5 reports in one evening and scanning all the related sundry receipts took a considerable time to do. For example two of the reports had 50 questions in each.

  • I don't know if this will help anybody but I looked at the Wilkinsons website - I was searching for one of their products. They have a mystery shopper section, it seems they are actively looking for mystery shoppers.
There is a section that you fill in if you are interested, also they tell you what the pay is for each mystery shop ( I don't think I am allowed to tell you how much it is on this site). Might be worth having a look.
