Hi everyone
Doing my first RE pub visit which pays expenses and a fee - pretty good!!
I was just wondering if anyone knows if you need to submit reciepts for the whole spend amount - ie do you need receipts for drinks etc. as well as the meal. Or is it like TNS where you can claim the full amount without the receipts (you need one for the meal but not drinks)?
THanks everyone

Generally you do not need a drinks receipt for RE pub assignments as they only re-imburse you for the cost of the food. i.e 2 main meals if that is what is stipulated in the brief. By all means obtain one for the drinks but I found that even though I sent the drinks receipt off and the brief asked for me to purchase drinks, I was not re-imbursed for these, just the food.0 -

I've only done one pub visit so far, but RE paid me for the drinks and the food.
So I didn't stand out I asked if it was possible to pay for the drinks with the food order as I was paying by card, then got one itemised receipt for everything.

Did you go over the spend limit?
I've always had everything reimbursed by RE, as long as it's within the limit, but I do usually ask for the receipt for the drinks as well, just in case. :cool:0 -

The limit was £15, I spent £8.70. I did return both receipts but was only repaid for the meals and given the fee. I always get a receipt for everything, if they ask I say works paying and I need it for expenses.0 -
The last two places I worked at always had mystery shoppers every month one of which was a bank the other a retail store. I always wondered how you got into being a mystery shopper as it looked great and now I know
The bank was more of an overall mystery shop but the retail store I worked in was much more one on one, we used to dread the report coming through as it would name names and if you got a bad report boy did the manager let you know about it. I think I was only ever on one once and it wasn't really me that served her I just greeted her so obviously I got bonus points, although she did get my name completely wrong on the report but we figured out it was me by the description and day she visited.
Generally they were really good and you couldn't tell but sometimes you just knew. They would ask questions that no real shopper ever asks, so my advice would be be as natural as you can and act like you're buying for real!0 -
