Same here, not done one yet but am quite excited about the prospect of 'free' grocery shopping!!
  • Did a casino job last night

Was a bit worried that the fee wouldn't cover dinner/ drinks/ stake - but then found out there was a promotion for 1/3 off in the restaurant, making it cheaper than the pub AND I won 70 quid!!! :j

Been going to casinos for years and never won that much before!

Does anyone know if you can claim mileage allowance when it comes to filling in your tax return form?

I know some companies pay 40p per mile if you have to visit somewhere so I was wondering if you could claim this as you are self employed and have to travel around.

If you can claim, where would you put this on the form and would you have to make a list of every job done and the miles travelled?

    Thanks in advance!

Yes you can claim 40p per mile for something like the first 10,000 miles per year. Then it goes down to 25p.

It will just be an expense on your tax form.
  • Just a word of warning, I didn't get paid for my first MS assignment to a bank as I enquired about a current account and said it would be a joint one with DH.

Don't remember seeing anything about this in the brief, it just said act as though you want to transfer your existing account (which is a joint one)

Which company was this for ?,

    Coffee shops mystery shopping

a guy from gapbuster called me about an assigment i had done and i asked him about doing shops at the coffee shop and he said that he would sign me up to it and they have to send out some special equipment for the shop (a weighing machine and a temperature guage!)
fee ,including your money for the coffee bought.
    maybe worth calling them up.

you may want to edit your post ,as fees arent supposed to be discussed ;)

but thanks for the info :)
