i got a letter from the NI contributions office today, asking me for £27 for three months worth... is this right? i work full time as it is and pay about £100 a month NI already!
what about tax? i sent the form that was on the HM Revenue site, will they contact me seperately or is there something else i need to do? i thought it was just the one form i had to send off, im late now if it was two.Payment a day challenge:

I contacted them again when I started MS and after a bit of discussion and referring to someone esle the guy I spoke to said I could just ask to get my tax code adjusted again. I can also tell them this in January so I have a better estimate of what my extra earnings will be. The limit, which I didn't take much notice of as I wouldn't be anywhere near it was about £3k I think. It avoids you having to fill out a tax return which was why I wanted to do it.
Has anyone else done this?
i did this when i was doing avon. they adjusted my tax and all was fine. they sent me a tax return but told me to disregard it. two years later and ive been fined for not filling it out, even though i was told not to and my tax code was adjusted.Payment a day challenge:

I got the same letter today for £25.20
What has annoyed me most of all is that I have applied for a certificate of National Insurance Exemption as I already pay through my wages and my extra earnings would total much less than £4465
I haven't even earned £25.20
Tried calling them but they are closed, only open 8am until 5pm
I am now worrying myself stupid they want me to pay this money when I simply cannot afford to.0 -

Thanks for posting the TNS jobs smog, just grabbed myself one.
Was wondering about going SE - have done all the paperwork etc but I'm sure they said they would send me out some sort of advice pack since I was new to this. This was in November. Did anyone else get anything? Getting confused and not finding their website very helpful at all.Mainly just want to clarify claimable expenses etc to make sure I'm doing it right!
