  • Did you feel able to give positive feedback about your visits ? I certainly wouldn't have taken an account based on that visit - they whizzed through their current account with me, and didn't ask any in-depth questions.

Made a real mistake by giving my real name and phone number, I'm going to get chased by the bank now to open an account - won't make that mistake again.

Sorry to be so long getting back to you - bit of a nightmare week!

Yes, a couple of my bank visits were very quick - not much more than 10 minutes - but during this time I was introduced to an adviser, taken to a private room, and given excellent and quite thorough information about the current account, what I needed to bring for ID etc.

If the adviser really knows their stuff, or even if they follow the right checklist, it actually doesn't take more than a few minutes to relay the information: and the good ones usually manage to have a bit of a personal conversation (for example, about my job) in that time as well! :D

I like doing bank ones, 'cos you can do 2 in an hour (plus writing up time) which isn't bad pay for a convenient p/t job.... :T
Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).

Just wanted to this thread. I have been doing a few assignments just bank ones and one retail one with grassroots. Had a phone call from them today asking for me to do another so that will be number 5 and really enjoying it.

I have been accepted for TNS so looking forward to doing some of theirs.

I am a stay at home to a 2yr old boy and as you can see below we have some debts that need clearing so this is going to help us out. I am sure I will be asking some help here and there!!

Thanks a lot for the link to the NI small earnings form RachieB, much appreciated. Do they take long to make you exempt? Hope to get it done before they send me a bill for NI!

With NI - make sure you think carefully before applying for Small Earnings exemption. In some cases, it's better to pay Voluntary Contributions (this is assuming you are below the NI threshold). This means you are entitled to more benefits should you need them. A prime example is maternity allowance which is about £30 if you don't pay any NI, and about £108 a week if you pay the voluntary contributions. For the sake of £2.10 a week, it may be worth thinking about.

Does this mean I need to pay the bill I got then claim it back when they have processed my form??
