I'm an allocator for a company specialising in mystery shopping restaurants., We pay a good allowance and a fee, and at the moment are looking for peeps to do some visits in December to restaurants in Colchester and Chelmsford. Anyone?

    ;):)
Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.

LENI, as you started this thread, do you think we should start a new one, giving the various Mystery Shopper sites on the first post and maybe the dates they pay.

I know I'm still quite new here, but it does seem that the same questions crop up every couple of days.

If you want me to edit out this post, I will understand. :D

This or Rachie B's idea of adding info to the start of the thread would be really helpful to anyone new.... can you believe this is over 100 pages long now? :snow_grin

 i was a few hours "late" sending my receipt to gap one time as couldnt get the fax to go through,
and i received an email the next morning saying how they would pay me this time but in future i MUST submit the receipt 8 hrs after with the questionnaire ! else i would not get paid
 Whoops, not sure what to say about that  , how long have you worked for them ? maybe they are more flexible with people who have been with them a long time. After reading this last night, I did put 5 on from this week, rather than do it all at the end.

It's a self select thing, and they send you an email once they've added jobs on to Cybershop, so you don't need to keep checking it all the time. ;)

You'll only get to see the jobs in your area though, not the whole country like on GAP.

Well, finally finished my 8 assignments this week, turned 3 down so good week, only 2 more lined up to Christmas though.
Most cs was good, but had a couple of dodgy ones. One today was particularly bad and feel bad myself that I have to report what happened. What is other people's experience of this? Usually tend to give the benefit of the doubt to people (within reason) but feels so mean to write bad things. Do you think companies just give staff a reprimand?

I did my first two today, both banks... The first one I was a bit nervous and I'm sure she sussed I was a mystery shopper as she seemed nervous too! The second one was much easier, not sure whether that's because I'd had a glass of wine at the pub beforehand! :D

I know how you feel, I did my first one this week and couldn't give glowing feedback, however, I think you have to be truthful. At the end of the day, you are being paid to tell them what really happens.
