Hi, wonder if anyone can help with this please? I've got a bar job for Friday, which is supposed to be food and drinks, but it says on the form if they dont do food then it becomes just a drinks assignment. I called them, and they dont do food. What I'm wondering is, the spend limit is £15, and I have to stay in the bar for an hour. This is difficult for just the drinks bit so can I buy more than one 'round' (of 2 drinks) from the £15 or do I have to pay for the second round from my own money? Obviously they will be on different receipts so is it ok to submit more than one receipt?

Difficult to answer your question Turtle - my advice would be to contact the company & ask them.

    Hi,

I would like to join your little MS group, if that's ok

I used to do mystery shopping a bit last year but I didn't really need the money then so just did it a couple of times for fun, now I have a lot of debt to pay off so I am going to try and make some extra money by doing this. I have read most of the previous posts - which took me about a week of lunchtimes so now I am ready to start it again. I am already signed up with retail eyes and TNS but I have just joined grassroots (?) bai and a couple of others mentioned on this board.

I have 2 jobs set up now, a bank one for grassroots on monday and a pub one on saturday.

I already have a small business so I am familiar with the tax stuff and I have a business account that I can be paid into.

I will let ya know how my first 2 jobs go...been a while, hopefully will get back into the swing of things.

For Gapburgers they quote a fee & reimbursement & you get the full amount of reimbursement regardless of how much you spend. If the meal costs 10p less than the reimbursement then you will still get the full amount.

Please remember that this extra bit (10p in the example above) then becomes part of your fee & is taxable.

There has been a lot of discussion on another forum about the quoted reimbursement not fully covering the required purchase, so the above example might not happen very often. ;)

Do you know if they eventually start to up the fee (with a higher shopper rating)? I'll hardly make anything on the job I'm doing on Monday. :rotfl:

    Hi

Good luck getting back into it. I've only been doing MS for a couple of weeks, but really enjoy it, and will love it when I start getting paid!

I know what you mean about some jobs hardly making any money. I have already learnt to group jobs together to make it worthwhile. Eg try to get a few in the same area on the same day. I think this is the only way to earn good money by MS.
