How long does it take for TNS to come back to you? I completed my test a few days ago (either Friday or Saturday) and I haven't heard anything yet. Would I hear either way?

Yes I have and I got the 'Certificate of Exemption' as well so that I don't have to pay Class 2 National Insurance.

Hi, Im prob being really thick, but what does this mean and who is entitled to one? because I have received a bill saying I owe £2.10 per week from the date I started, in NI contributions.

You are entitled one if you think your self-employment earnings are going to earn you less than £4465 for the 2006/07 tax year.

In my case I think my earnings will be £500 MAX!

Do you know that you have to complete a tax return as well? Best thing to do is set yourself up a really simple spreadsheet detailing your jobs.

    Hope that helps!

I work part time in a sandwich shop & we get asked for receipts regularly. I don't know what the specific instruction is in the brief, but it is often easier if you ask for the receipt before they start to till up the order.

  • Thanks all for this. I registered with two agencies just over two weeks ago, I was immediately contacted by one who gave me 5 assignments and today I was paid for them. Woo hoo!
