We are moving next week and want to set up mail redirection. They ask for a document for personal id (no problem) but also an original credit card statement, council tax bill, bank statement etc but original and in the last 3 months. This is a problem as all these are done online. Any suggestions please?

Ring them and ask?0

Ask your bank or CC provider to issue a paper statement? It is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.

did you try setting up the redirection online?0 -
You normally receive an annual council tax bill on paper, even if you pay by direct debit. You can ask any financial institution to prepare a paper statement, sometimes it can be done at cash machines.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

As custardy says, set it up online. No documents required.0

Yes and it got rejected. For what reason I know not(some of your details could not be verified) although no-one else seems to have a problem. You normally receive an annual council tax bill on paper, even if you pay by direct debit.
Yes, got one of those but, of course, more than 3 months old.Ask your bank or CC provider to issue a paper statement?
May have to resort to this but they sure don't make it easy and there are 1001 other things to do.0 -
We had the same problem as you and didn't manage to find a way round it. In the end we we had no choice but to leave a load of labels with our new address and ask our buyer to forward our post (and be really careful about racking our brains to make sure we'd told everyone important about our change of address). Three months on, he hasn't bothered to forward one single item! Words cannot express how much I resent cleaning the house for the lazy ***!0

Did you leave him some stamps with the labels?0

Not necessary. Royal Mail don't charge for forwarding post. (See http://www.royalmail.com/sites/default/files/docs/pdf/Forwarding%20December%2010.pdf) I thought that was common knowledge but clearly it's not. I shall stop being angry!0

You don't need to add extra stamps if you are redirecting mail without opening it first. The address labels will suffice.0
