Just updated signature, declaring at £12.00 under budget, very pleased as included stocking up on tinned tomatoes and beans, for a few months.

Doing the fiscal fast for a week really paid off for me, plus had a really lucky month for whoopsies, still loads of meat left.also plenty of veg and some fruit left over from last week.

Struggled out to MrS today, treated myself to a bottle of Ribena to keep me going (day 9 of flu - I mean come on!).

So weekly shop was £24.04 and toting up a couple of other receipts I had forgotten about I am DECLARING for November at £217.82/£200

Its not a bad overspending factoring in the Divali dinner party, but I'm determined to come under in December.

See you all on December board. Off there now with mug of hot ribena in hand ...

I won't be doing a grocery challenge for december as my food bills will be rather excessive :o, but I will be back for January 2013:eek:.

£21.12 spent today in A!di & Te$co. Got some celery and two lots of onions from the super 6 selection. Just tomorrow to do now then its off to the Dec thread.

Fish for tea tonight DH is having some haddock battered and I am having a piece of plaice which havent had for a while. We were having pork chops but forgot to take them out of freezer last night but have just done it ready for tomorrow nights meal.

Nice to see one or two coming under their budget and for those who havent made it - never mind and better luck next time.

Think its a good night to turn up the heating and snuggle under a duvet with a mug of hot chocolate later on. :D

Will post final spends tomorrow at some point.

Loving the foodie pictures JJ may have to have a look at how to do them at some point.
    MARCH £62.38/250
  • OH got some sneaky YS on Tues but only small damage of £1.06 then another £2.73 on some bread and a few bits tonight.

Definately no spends tomorrow so very happy to declare under my tight revised budget so I could get my bro's b'day pressie too...

    See you all in December!

Hi I am declaring at £442.77/£400.

I went over budget but not as much as I thought thanks to Tesco only delivering part of my shopping order:mad:. I've decided to go without the cancelled items for a few days and buy them again using my December budget.

Next month will be a stocking up the freezer and cupboards month so I have increased my budget to allow for this. Hopefully, this will allow me to have a couple of cheaper months in the beginning of the New Year. :D

It's been great reading everybodys experiences this month and I look forward to 'seeing' you all on the December thread.:)

    Hi guys.
Hope you day has gone well. We were going to have a pea soup today with my ham hock stock but hubby volunteered to do dinner yesterday.
He used the ham from the slow cooker with new potatoes, minted peas and a fried egg. When I went in the kitchen, I discovered that the stock and bone were thrown away !!!!

It's gonna be a quick pasta now with handfuls of chopped parsley from the masses in the garden with olive oil and garlic and grated cheese. Cheap n quick!

I made my second ever thing at crochet today. I started yesterday and embellished it today. I'm kinda proud of it.....

I was given a huge bag of yarns, 2 books and a few hooks and needles yesterday off freecycle so I'm eager to try everything!!
