Another week to go for me. I havent had to spend much this week as still using up whoopsies from October.I did buy a few tins of the heinz
chopped tomatos and bread flour for store cupboard . but otherwise it was mainly fruit and veg

Am undecided whether to start using my Asda gift card in December or wait until January. I think I will wait,I have 300 on the cards which would be 3 months at the 20.00 budget but I am liking the idea of just seeing how long I can stretch it for.

I am down to 3 portions of homemade carrot and ginger soup, and really want to try and only have soup at lunchtimes when I am working from home - so I will be dipping into my weekly cash allowance and getting some carrots, so when I get back from tennis this evening, I can batch up Cabbage, Potato & Carrot soup... At least I was NSD on Monday... sigh. I really need to get my head around how to plan the soups in now that I am getting used to having them pretty much every week day...

Friday I will probably do the Thai sweet potato and courgette batch while the veggies are in their first week, and then next week I can thrash through my Tinned tomatoes.

Right now I am trying to get the motivation to walk in the rain to the parade of shops to get the carrots instead of driving to Mr S after tennis. Driving is winning at the moment !

Edited: This is ridinkidonk. I have stuff to do two soups in the house - so I am NOT going to dip into my cash allowance when I don't need to.
Also saves in the additional diesel to drive DOWN the road after tennis and then back home.

Right - tomato soup to be made this evening after tennis, so I can have a bowl tomorrow (off to a HIDEOUSLY expensive thai restaurant tomorrow, so need to make sure I am very calorie lite tomorrow to stay within 1200 net).
Later this week I'll do the other one so at least I have a bit of variety ...

Off to my mother's this weekend, and there is a Mr T (I usually help her with some shopping when I am there) so easy enough for me to pick up a gazillion carrots on the Clubcard Savings account for the following week.

I used to be indecisive... but now I'm not so sure ...:rotfl:

Bread, milk & dishwasher tablets purchased yesterday - used a brand match voucher (no idea why I get these as I don't buy brands - but thank you MrS anyway) so total spend was just £3.81.

£154.89/£200. That's not looking too bad - ten days and just shy of £50 left. Do-able if I'm careful.

    Hi everyone,

Had to go to Sains last night to get some bits for work - they only text the list through in the late afternoon which is annoying when I've already been sm shopping

Managed to pick up a ys prawn mayo sw (49p) and a loaf of low cal bread for 19p so that was lunch sorted plus bread for the freezer for a few weeks! Work's shopping gave me a 12p price match voucher so I used this for my bits giving a total to add of 56p :j (I must add that I had a £4.50 off a £30 shop coupon which I used for work so I don't feel at all bad about accepting the 12p :rotfl:)

    Have a good day everyone

I got my Mr T delivery today and got a bit excited and online ordered my stuff for next week. :D I ordered lots of value range things so I hope we don't mind the difference in taste. I didn't have any Mr T vouchers for that week so I think I did quite well considering I'm new to this.

First week of Nov - Grocery bill was around £125.
    Second week Nov - £100.
    Third week - £90.
    Fourth week will be £80.

    :T

(I only started budgeting in the 3rd week I should add!)

Ooops I spent £15 today so now I only have £75 for the rest of the month..... It's going to be tight, not sure how I will afford booze for the party but I'll think of something. Might have to insist that it's bring a bottle or possibly raid the petrol budget as that will be under this month....

A massive spend of £0.55 today on a lt milk. Only brought the one cause it was 6p more than when I go to A!di on Thursday:rotfl:

10 days left and still have £136.28 left in the pot - happy how this month is going so far.

Have a tub of plain cottage cheese in fridge and dont know what to do with it, brought it to do a 4 cheese souffle with but then decided against it - any ideas welcome please - dont like it in jkt pot really, would it work in a quiche if I mixed it with 2-3 beaten eggs and some sauteed leeks with perhaps some ham or bacon bits then poured it into a quiche case ? Its two days out of date but dont think this would hurt would it, will do a sniff test first. :o
