  • I've just found this thread and i'm amazing at how little some of you are spending each month on groceries. I'm hoping that a few months of following the advice and tips of the thread, I'll be able to reduce our grocery budget too.

I have no idea how much we are currently spending so my budget is a bit of a guess. My budget for November is going to be £300 for the month, this is for 2 adults and a greedy Miniature Schnauzer. I get confused easily so I'm going to start on November 1st and finish on the 30th.

    Wish me luck!

Hi, please could you put me down for £75 for November (starting on the 1st). Reducing slightly from last month, so fingers crossed, but I came slightly under budget last month so hopefully it's doable.

PS this is just for me, but also needs to cover slowly building up a stock cupboard of herbs, spices and everything else from scratch.

Thank you for the new thread :)

Hi all! I am trying for £150 again this month please.

    Already spent a whopping £92.95 :o

So I'm not too sure how achievable this will be...but we have lots in the house already, just need to plan accordingly & as always, avoid the dreaded pizza! I have a delightful Mr T's stuffed crust pepperoni pizza in the freezer now which will hopefully do the trick next time I get a craving!

    Good luck everyone x

hi there, can you put me down for £250 for this 5 week month, i am really really going to try and stick to it this month, even though i am going to try and get my xmas baking out of the way, don't have that much to do as xmas day mil's and boxing day at sil's:T

am always amazed when i try and keep a note of my household spending of how little of it actually goes on food, toiletries seem to be my downfall at the moment, that and baking stuff ( why is proper vanilla extract so darn dear??)

right, got a ton of soup to freeze (tom, chilli and chickpea) and have a spicy tom and lentil one bubbling away nicely so think this week is sorted anyway

Get well soon rising from the ashes

Had a just under £50 shop at Mr A today. Not ideal, but I did get a lot of party food for Wednesday. My tots are in separate nursery rooms so I need to contribute to two separate parties there, and we are taking a tea party to my mums in the evening too.

Also got new milk cups for the little ones, a magazine for me and a big pile of reduced books (not from grocery budget) for gifts as DS has been invited to quite a few parties next month.

    Hello,

After a disastrous September and October in the Grocery Challenge I am determined to do better in November.

Please can you put me down for £150 in November?

I haven't had chance to read earlier posts yet, I will be back later on to catch up after I have done some ironing.
