  • Good evening :D

We have had a fairly good day today. The only dampener has been the leak outside  (pun intended :p).
We got up and took the dog out. It was COLD! When we got outside we realised that there was water seeping out from our frontgarden (and a bit from next door's). It is draining away down the street (we are on a bit of a hill, luckily). Spoke to next door, and she phoned the water co (would have taken me a while to work out which one, and who to phone! She is better organised than me). They arrived while we were out. It appears that the problem is in our garden :( The water is still on, and they are coming to fix it on Monday. We will need to call back if it gets worse, or starts flooding  Apparently it is a free repair, and you get one free one every 3 years, but that doesn't include reinstatement of the paving.

Had a nice meal out with mum, step-dad & SD's neice. It is the first time we have seen her since she got back frm a year in Guatemala teaching kids in a project. She is such a lovely girl :) When she went out there she had never taught, and didn't speak a word of Spanish!! It looks like she will go abroad again now to do more good works. Well done her. She is braver than me!!

We seem to be having a musical night as DH bought DS a new music book. He is a lot better than I thought :o (he never practices at home, and I only get to hear him in the wind band - along with eveyone else). DH was looking longingly at the electronic drums, but DD2 requested that we fix the hole in her ceiling before we get drums!! Maybe it was a good job DH's wallet went missing yesterday ;)

Tomorrow I am going to do some flying - and some studying. I promise :o Hugs, sticks & spoons to those that need them.

    Evening all,

Little ones fell asleep watching the dancing, so carried them both off to their rooms. Am going to read for a bit, although I am in bed as I was awake early.

Hoovered and wiped round kitchen after FIL was drilling for my new curtain pole. Done lots of laundry related activity :D and dishes etc. done some sticking with the little ones, and got an invite to Sunday lunch at my mums, hurrah. oh, also blitzed the mulligatawny that I'd had in sc all night. V tasty.

So tomorrow will be, grabbing some stuff to take to mums, and then tomorrow night will be bath time and getting nursery bags out for Monday. another week, how did that happen???

    Evening all

We've had a good day. List written (stuff for this week and beginnings of toots list - will eventually need to separate the two), started on laundry moutain and tidying, made a start on kitchen, did budget for next month, ordered cat food and a concert ticket.

I'm also pleased because I managed to drink lots of water today and ate quite well, too. Lots of fruit and veg.

Time to chill with a glass of something now and do some work related stuff.

    Back in the morning. x

Why do my children look at me like I'm nuts when I tell them the clocks have gone back and it's still bedtime???

They've asked if they can watch "Harry Potty" lol so I have to watch too and whizz past the scary bits. Which is most of it, when you're two. Eish.

Another Saturday night party, joint 50th. DH didn't want to go so I agreed to drive. We met 3 couples from our NCT group. We all had boys and they were all 18 in July/August. We left early and went back to an unbelievably tidy house for coffee. The band were awful and far too loud.

DS1 went to a party last night complete with sleeping bag . I'm worried because he sleepwalks when he's anxious/overtired/tipsy. He wouldn't tell me where it was. Unbelievably he's had a trial shift at the job he overslept the interview for. He's due back for more training today.

DS3's football is cancelled. The rain turned the high street into a river yesterday so I'm not surprised.

I have loads of stuff to 99p eb@y today.

DH is snoring next to me. I'm going to get up and watch Strictly while I do some ironing.
