New Lloyds TSB Visa Debit Cards being issued

I`m not sure to be honest, I don't think Lloyds starting issuing contactless cards until the Olympic design.
I have got two classic accounts with LLoyds both of my cards was contactless. I lost the one card reported it lost and they sent me a non contactless black horse card.
When I questioned it they said they would not be available on the black horse design until Jan 2013.
Unless anyone knows different....

I Had an interesting conversation with someone who works for CO-OP Bank.
On the subject of debit cards I was told that any that expire early 13 will be branded TSB, any expiring later that year / early 14 will be branded CO-OP.
This of course only applies to those who's issuing Lloyds branch (i.e current account is held with) is being sold to CO-OP under the "Verdi" programme.
So really those with a "Black Horse" on their card (and think it means something) who's branch will be sold off had better lookout!.
Lets not even ask if the CO-OP bank is ready for this "take over"...by from what I've been told CO-OP haven't really sorted the Brittania "take over" yet....Lloyds/TSB is only compounding their problems.
As our government and europeans are saying this MUST happen..it's not really LLoyd's or CO-OP's fault....but WE as account holders will have to bear with the !!!!-ups that will (may) happen.
Whats pictured on my debit card is of little bother to me, it's the bigger picture I'm worried about.0 -

I thought their was a possibility of them keeping the TSB brand.
I do not think anyone really knows whats going on at the moment.
It seems a waste of money if you ask me all this re-branding to TSB if they are simply going to re-brand to Co op shortly afterwards.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -
No just two classic accounts.
How come you get the black card if you don't have a premier account? Thought the black card only comes with a Premier account!Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

Apologies, skimmed your post earlier, didn't read it properly. Quick question why do they offer different designs for each account? Why couldn't they just have one design? Surely this would be cheaper for the bank? Or is this a status thing?Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. No worries easily done.
I think it may be a status thing. I have worked in banking 10 years now and I have never given a debit card a second thought until I joined MSE. Now I am always card watching in shops :rotfl:Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -
