Just wanted to bump this and say thanks for all the ideas and especial thanks to the people who gave me minecraft item links. I am likely to be buying some of the suggestions, but I couldn't say till now as son's xmas present was to attend Minecon which takes place this weekend and I need to see what he buys himself there first. Didn't want to reveal it as the tickets were a sell-out and I was worried about leaving myself open to fraud theft of them if I mentioned it on a public forum -paranoid-much -lol. :o:p

Haven't added anything much recently, as have been working full time (I'm an office temp - so get stretches of no work and stretches of plenty of work). Last thing I bought was some chocolate coins, I like the note ones I've seen this year but I thought they were too expensive in Tesco (£4??) instead I got a net in Lidl that had coins and notes in for about £1.29.

Jellyhead, yes he knows about the mint mentos/cola. We too had a gadget that fitted to the top of the bottle. I am sure one year you must have been able to get them as a freebie, as I recall giving one with the sweets and drink to my friends teenagers one xmas when she was going thru a bad financial item and it being their fav thing. :)
  • There is a new Minecraft guide book out:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Minecraft-Unabridged-Guide-Jose-Jane/dp/1486197205/ref=sr_1_14?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1353807110&sr=1-14

    stocks are limited though.

p.s. the Tesco money is £4 for two bags as it is BOGOF at the moment.

  • Apols if this has been said already, I don't have time to wade through the whole thread.

    Acne cream and shoe deodoriser.
  • My DS will be 13 in the spring too, and he is also Minecraft mad. So this year I've bought all Minecraft fillers from ebay and amazon. Bag, t-shirts, mug, keyring & pencil case. Wish I knew about Swagbucks last month! lol

Well the stockings are out of the loft and I did a trial run with filling it with my stuff and it's part empty. I know the problem, the big tubes of mentos I was going to get on my trip that I mentioned in my first post, P & O ferries have stopped doing them :( and they filled a stocking fab. I went round France and B elgium buying all the diff flavours you can't get here, but they didn't fit nicely in so have gone into a tin instead. The man's manicure set is too bulky for the stocking also, so I may do one of two things either take it out of it's plastic case or have it as a under the tree present. Am going to order some more bits tomorrow, using ideas from here :T and if all else fails he can have his own personal supply of AA batteries, save the arguments about whether the xbox controller or his sister's camera should take priority over the last ones. :D

And his 9 year old sister, I'm possibly going to ahve to take somne stuff out since I can fill hers twice over. Shame son won't appreciate hair bobbles or a blind bag of moshi monsters. :rotfl:

Since it's over a year since I started this thread, thought I'd give it a Seasonal bump, so people can read through to find ideas or offer suggestions of their own.
