Message to Neil (as you're obviously reading this thread, judging by your constant tweets):
If you say you are going to do something, do it. Do not promise things you can't possibly hope to deliver - this applies to getting hampers to your customers on time and your promises to stay off twitter (which seems to last minutes). Sitting on your bum on the Internet is making things 110% worse (do you see what I did there?!).
The blame for this entire fiasco lays firmly at your door. This thread will live on in Internet history, so even when this nightmare is over your future customers will see how disorganised, unprofessional and downright rude you have been, and how poorly you've treated the people that bought into your offers in good faith.
I would suggest that you spend some time reflecting on this, and how you (and nobody else) made such a mess of what could have been a lovely and pleasant experience for all concerned.
You are a very small fish who has attempted to grow too big, too fast. You may not care about the stress and upset you have caused others, but in the end that will only harm you.
PS - "their" means "belonging to them". "There" is a place (as in "over there" and "they're" is the shortened version of "they are".Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0 -

UPDATE Wer now have extra staff to get these hampers out.
(his spelling mistake not mine!)
Maybe one of the new staff can start replying to messages taken on the phone. I've waited since Friday morning for a response to my complaint about the skimpy hamper contents.
(sorry peeps, I did get my order ... well 60% of it, as small sizes had been swapped for the advertised large sizes).I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
Please everyone just be patient they are working very hard to get the orders out.0

How patient would you like people to be, when an avoidable situation has left them out of pocket and in stressful situations being lied to time and time again by somebody apparently "working very hard" but seemingly not doing much in reality but plenty of tweeting.
I think the time for patience has well and truly passed.Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0 -

I think you'll find that most people on here have been far more than patient. Some have been told on more than one occasion that their items have been sent, when they clearly haven't. Some have had to go out and buy replacement presents as the hampers haven't arrived. If it wasn't for the fact that the company themselves told people that their hampers would be delivered during the first week in December people wouldn't be getting so worried.
Can I ask, have you ordered from them? If so, have you had your order yet? Some people on here paid in August, and still have nothing to show for their money.
I'm sorry, but I find your post a bit pointless and patronising.0 -

I really sympathise with those who are waiting for their orders. I had two of the £79.99 deals, ordered and paid for in August. I needed some of the hampers early, so arranged delivery of all hampers in two lots and had everything by early November. The contents were good, with plenty of items in. Two of the hampers had substitutes of three small (not tiny) jars of jam instead of two full size jars, but Neil had phoned to say he was waiting for suppliers to deliver and asked if the substitutes were ok with me.
The contents of the retro sweets hamper are listed in post 3 of this thread, and filled the hamper nicely, unlike others that have been posted on here.
The Christmas hamper also contained a decent amount of goods. My mum is storing this for me, as she has more space, but from memory it contains a small Christmas pudding, three tiny jars of jam, mint thins, jelly fruit slices sweets, a bottle of posh pop, a large jar of chutney, a large cylindrical tube of biscuits, brandy butter, and I think there are two other items as well.
I do think Neil has taken more orders than he could comfortably handle, and maybe hasn't ordered enough stock for the demand. I do hope that everyone gets their hampers this week, and for those who no longer need them due to delayed delivery, a full refund if you cancel.0 -
