  • gipsygirl your photo's look fab! I notice your cheese one didn't have pât! in it, is that because you requested no pât!?

    Thanks CC
  • That's a lot of tweeting for somebody soooooooooooo busy.

Yep. We shouldn't be too harsh though ... maybe he has an addiction to twitter? :)

I have wondered for a while why, if they're so swamped, do they not employ someone else until Christmas?

  • I have deleted my posts and i will not post on this forum again.the reason i have deleted the posts is to let everyone make there own minds up didnt think it would take over this way but i will learn for the future.I wish the Norfolk Hamper Company luck and hope everyone gets there Hampers.
  • I fail to see how you could be caught off guard when most orders were placed during the offer period sept / oct ?
Whilst we are all waiting patiently that doesn't help those who wanted them in the time frame agreed when ordering.

I think the problems started with the later orders........especially the bigger volume deals rather than the sept/oct ones. I ordered the beginning of November and ordered more near the end of Nov ......when they had added the extra 12 deal.......I think that's where the orders probably went a bit nuts and they may not have expected that.

I do think it's all been a bit OTT at times.....it is frustrating for both sides.......but people need to remember.....it's not life or death......it's hampers! Christmas is stressful and sometimes frustrations cause people to lash out rather than step back and pause before speaking/emailing/tweeting/posting.
:rotfl:If it weren't for stress I'd have no energy at all. First rule of acting: Whatever happens, look as if it were intended.;)

I may look busy, but I'm just confused.:T I smile because i have no idea what's going on.:rotfl:

Then it's not very fair that those who only ordered in Sept/Oct have been swept up in it.

Yes, they're only hampers, yes, it's only Xmas, but plenty of us have had an additional layer of stress and expense when NHC have failed to deliver what they promised.

Still no hampers arrived for me, even after complaining and being assured they would be dispatched on Wednesday. :( Sadly I'm now in the same position as others having to buy replacement presents to give to friends this weekend. What makes it frustrating is the fact I ordered a 6+6 (plus 2 free) hamper deal on the 5th August, the company have had my money all of that time and have known for 4 months what hampers they would need to send out with this deal for December.

For those of you interested I will attempt to add photos of the latest Hampers that I was disappointed with. The first is of the Retro Sweets Hamper (advertised in deal as value of 29.99) and the second is of a Surprise Christmas Hamper. (advertised in deal as value of 49.99) The Retro Sweets hamper is the better of the two I received. I've included my remote control in the Christmas photo to show the sizes of the jars and christmas pudding received.

I hope you don't mean you won't post on the forum as a whole.
I can understand why you would no longer wish to post on this thread though.

Am I the only one thinking "scapegoat" here?
    :(

While I didn't agree with Candy222's viewpoint or posts- I do think it is unfair to heap all the blame for what is happening on her (I'm assuming her apologies if you are a him Candy222).

I think a lot of these problems could have been avoided with good, honest communication and a bit of slack cut on both sides.

I don't think blaming one person is helpful to anyone.

  • Looking at the Christmas Hamper.., with an oh dear, not a good deal.., I'm going out to buy some Christmas puds from Aldi's tomorrow. I have to admit, without the hampers being here, I'm feeling a bit conned. I suspect I will need to go shopping to get Christmas goodies I didn't expect to buy next week.

I can't travel there due to being public transport dependent and living in Kent.
