  • Gypsygirl, your hampers look so lovely, thank you for posting pictures. Can I ask - did the open ones arrive like that, displaying their contents, or have you re-arranged them? They look very special. And the jute bag - is that one that you have decanted into or is it from the hamper company?
  • I hope this is a joke - https://twitter.com/TheNHCompany/status/279676875880681472
what a waste of police time.

why defamation of character comes to mind
  • Glad you like them - something for you all to look forward too! I think they are great & I'm sure the people getting them will think so too :T

Some are standard others I had made up -I had the 12 £30 hamper deal (think it was about £90) to be fair it would be hard for them to send out like this with the lids up! But as we live nearby I asked for them this way as we could collect them. (This is how they are in the shop) Actually it would be quite easy to get some cheap cellophane from a florist & do it yourself as I have when I’ve made my own in the past. (only just noticed the port chutney - hopefully they have had more stock in!)

    They are..

2 Chilli lovers, 2 Xmas, 2 just add cheese, 1 with pickles, jams & honey 1 retro with extra mug, 1 Galaxy, 1 Thorntons, 1 Norfolk 8 great tastes, 1 Union Jack bag with pop, sweets & nuts.

Here are the rest of my photos - what a faff never used photo bucket before there must be an easier way!!

Owner of business has gone to the police before trying to find a solution with MSE - not sure the police will be too impressed.
If every business owner did the same they'd never have time to investigate real crimes.
  • While I am sure they are overwhelmed and too busy.., and could do without answering emails, they ARE late delivering hampers.., could have forseen this and made arrangements to ensure Hampers were sent out as promised. Just received an email saying they are getting hampers out as quickly as possible. Thanks for the email, but the situation shouldn't be happening. Emails wouldn't be sent and delaying them if they weren't behind in packing the orders.

    The email also said:

'Please also note we are getting lots of calls regarding the Hampers as stated in the terms and conditions pictures are for illustration purposes only ie (the sweet hamper) & products may vary'.

I'm sorry but this does not build confidence in the company. I will not be ordering again as said already.

I believe she said earlier that they were collected from their shop by her husband. Might explain why they don't look like they've been hurtled around the country in a Direct Mail van. :rotfl:

This is how they came - we collected them as we live in Norfolk, I asked for the bag ( it is on the website) & they just put in what I asked for,I'm going to pop in a toblarone & a couple of other bits that I have got for my brother. I love them all!

  • Maybe hampers would be sent out quicker if the proprietor wasn't saying things like:

    https://twitter.com/TheNHCompany/status/279662690723586048

and saying at the beginning of December that they won't be on twitter due to the amount of orders they have, yet then they post stuff every day, and posting a competition, and random footie stuff, and moaning that they're swamped and that people keep ringing/emailing etc.

Methinks they may have taken on too much.
