The Norfolk hamper company thread

Max,
Its never too late to try.
Depending on how far the claims are. If they are still at LBA stage then it can be resolved easily. If they are at court application stage then its a tad more expensive but still relatively simple to resolve amicably.
due to time scales i would GUESS that the claim may either be in the post to be filed on or after 2nd Jan or not even that far along. If this is the case then I will also be advising Neil on action to take there to solve the issues.
The two outcomes i want from my actions (if Neil co-operates) are:
1) everybody gets what they paid for and/or a full refund.
2) A local business in the town where i went to school gets saved.
I have no personal interest nothing to gain, nothing to lose here but its xmas and the season of goodwill. Believe me i'm willing.
That said i haven't had a reply from Neil since 6:30 last night....Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
I just took a look at their home page.....
Looks different to me.....
Changing pix, advert for hamper club, advertising "order flowers today" etc!!
Apologies if it was always like that.
But if it wasn't and it has recently been updated, the time spent doing THAT, wasnt spent sorting out peoples problems with the company, was it ???
Btw, my ?????'s are not aimed at ppc_guy, who sounds like a thoughtful chap/chapess.....just thinking aloud0 -

You are right it has been changed. I tried a dummy order on Christmas Eve and the page was definitely different than it is today.

I have not put this to Neil BUT with the internet these days this could have been set up to change for ages. The exact script he uses to make his cart can have timed things like specials which auto-expire at a certain time or date. This may be the case here?Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. I suppose there is a 1% chance of that!!
But the facts are he needs to refund and/or replace ASAP.
Until he's done that 100%, he will always be attached to the "liar, conman and cheat" tag ................... and rightly so.
I don't believe he'll ever gain any respect for his business, HE's damaged that now beyond repair. Can he gain any personal respect by acting honourable quickly??

these options were there earlier. Maybe by taking down the Christmas hampers, they have moved to the forefront!
I know I have said this before, and I know that I am actually one of the people whose order turned up - later than expected, but still in time for Christmas - but I do think that this was a case of the company taking on too many orders and then mismanaging these.
Information should have been forthcoming and truthful, but Neil, I think, buckled under the pressure and that's when he came across as rude (maybe unintentionally?).
I am hopeful that he will be reimbursing those that did not receive their hampers (if that is what they want). I think that the fact that he sent out the e-mail yesterday is evidence of the fact that he wants to make amends.
Fingers crossed for all of you that the hampergate saga can be closed soon.0 -

With all due respect, I'll believe it when I see it. He has made many promises that hampers will be delivered tomorrow, and then another tomorrow and then another. Neil's tomorrow's don't mean a lot other than no hope today.:A
