I have been in direct contact with Neil throughout the day in relation to this. (as you know i didn't order a hamper nor know Neil until this all surfaced).
I wont go into the details but i do think that Neil is being genuine in his actions and i am sure all will be resolved shortly.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

Ellieo,
Unlike most on here i have not been worried about getting a hamper and following on from a link posted on here obtaining a direct email was easy,
I dropped him a polite email and he has responded.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
Instead of wasting time sending out a generic email repeating what has been said in earlier communications the time could be spent more productively on replying to each individual involved. Also why close down the twitter account and totally ignore people for the past 3-4 days who have been more than upset than what he feels about a few factual words on a forum. I think people may then find there is some genuine apology within that email...24 beers in a case - 24 hours in a day. Coincidence? :beer:0

I've been sending him polite emails for over a week! All I wanted was a bit of honesty so I could make arrangements to replace gifts. The last thing I wanted to do was buy a whole lot more stuff and then have 12 hampers turn up. I asked and asked, please let me know what I need to do, but nothing. I could have coped with, we can't provide your order, refund to follow. But I got ignored.
I appreciate the appology though.:A

Daffy,
Im guessing (and this is purely speculation) that he too has a fmaily and is spending time with them, i know that this will attract a roar of comments about how everyone who didn't get their hampers has a family too, but the saying is look after number 1.
I do believe that Neil is working on an action plan of sorts to get this whole mess sorted out and straightened up. I have put a few suggestions to him and hopefully some of them will be utilised.
I have also made it known to him that in order for his business to survive in any way with an inch of credibility then the refunds must be offered and honoured to everyone who has not received the hamper.
I am hoping that you will alll see some progress in the next 48-72 hours which has more meaning but the generic email at least shows he hasn't just "done a bunk" and left you all in the sticky stuff?!Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Hope everyone had a lovely day.0 -
Sending out an apology to hundreds of people you have deliberately misled must be made considerably easier by the fact that you have their cash sitting in your bank account.
I'm also starting a sweepstake on how long it will be before anyone in MSE ivory towers deigns to commemt on this farce. Currently the best odds are somewhere around 31st December.0
