I don't understand why they bought in pre-packed baskets it would of been far better to of purchased the items separately & pack them themselves. That way they could of said we have x amount of orders so we need x amount of puddings, chutneys, jams etc... if one supplier let them down they could then of simply switched to another brand from a different supplier avoiding an awful lot of problems & still getting all orders out to customers.

And more to the point, if they were buying them pre-packed, why the lies about staying up all night, and taking on extra staff, to pack them?

Should have been an easy job to stick them into boxes, label them and off they go!
  • could it be a credit cashflow issue and he has ran out of credit with his suppliers (fosters) and the ones he does himself he is filling themn with anything as he has no cash left .?
i bet paypal have also froze his accounts as well.

Well I am one of the 60 customers waiting then!

I have had my 12 hampers ( well actually only 11 when counted ) which were part of the 12 plus 12 from November - agreed with Neil that I would have sundry 12 for hostel. I also got chilli hamper as first of my 12

BUT I have not received my 8 hampers from the AUGUST deal ( 2xmas, 4 sweets and 2 jam.

Feel let down as had supported him as we're to date great hampers. I do feel though that for a deal ordered in August there should have been no problems.

I have emailed to say disappointed - all the sweets hampers were for my kids stockings!

Maybe I will get Xmas eve but I doubt it but I hope I get them eventually!

I agree, it seems that is the case. But for the love of god why did NHC not take this up with the supplier, explain to customers that there are supply issues, and offer timely refunds to those who won't get their order.

If I'd have had an apology, a cancellation and a refund I would have been happy and would have probably tried another order in the future.

TOTALLY agree with the above. I honestly think most people would have been a bit annoyed but reasonable if he had only been honest and shown a bit of humility to the customers that were being let down......that way SOME happy customers would have mitigated the upset ones.....as it is more people have issues than not. On the one hand I feel so sorry for the company and on the other I lose sympathy when I think of them barefaced lying to people instead of holding their hands up in time to give us time to fix it or sort out alternatives.

This is also one of the ones I'm waiting for....so far the galaxy / retro sweets seems to have ( to a degree ) gone out ( I'm waiting for it), as well as this festive special ( which I'm also waiting for), has anyone got the Christmas one ( think its the buy 3 get the same free one) yet?:think:_pale_. I'm confused before I even start on the buy 12s........
:rotfl:If it weren't for stress I'd have no energy at all. First rule of acting: Whatever happens, look as if it were intended.;)
Don't follow in my footsteps, I walk into walls:smileyhea When in doubt .............mumble.
I may look busy, but I'm just confused.:T I smile because i have no idea what's going on.:rotfl:

Could be, but as he had payment up front for the entire order I fail to see why he couldn't pay the supplier. Unless of course he made a mistake with the initial pricing. But, even then, why would someone keep taking fresh orders when things had already started going belly up.

  • An update on my Paypal claims.

I have had an email from Paypal saying that they have looked at my claim for non delivery of my 3+3 offer and that if they do not receive information from Neil in 11 working days they will automatically find in my favour.

I haven't ordered from this company, but I really feel for all of you that have.

I really don't understand him buying ready made hampers to sell on. I make my hamper gifts as I cannot afford to buy them. If someone asked me to make one for them, I would do exactly that, not buy one and pass it off as my own.
Technically he is a distributor of hampers, not a hamper company, if that is all de does.
Mind you from reading the descriptions of some of your hampers he should buy them all in.

    .

It's simple really, he needed the cash from the new orders to pay the suppliers when he ran out of stuff. Like a sort of reverse pyramid scheme. It's called chucking good money after bad, like when a gambler doesn't know when to stop.

I am really unsure at to what to do. Neil agreed to refund me as my order got lost in the post. 8 days later still no cheque but stray hamper has arrived. As I have bought other goods for hamper I am now left with a hamper I don't need. I am in a quandry as to what to do . Should I open hampers and perhaps sell on and recoup some money or hold on in the hope that my money does turn up . I don't want to be left with a xmas hamper in January and no money as I feel he will go belly up and we won't get any money back !

Quite, and it also begs the question over what they have been packaging so hard which makes it impossible for them to answer the phone or emails.

They've obviously been repacking the bought baskets into their own hampers. What a waste of time (and an awful business practice).

    Idiot, idiot, idiot.
