I'll probably keep them. They're not worth £30 each but we didn't pay £30 for them, did we? Especially if you got all 24 at once. Although, if his business folds they've cost just over £50 each.

This is what worries me, I've received today my first two hampers from the 24 deal (shock horror) which were a galaxy one and the Christmas one he said would be sent as first hamper in deal. Would certainly not want to have paid over £50 each for them if the company folds :( Im not looking forward to having to chase hampers each month and to be honest the way this whole thing has turned out I'm not sure he will have the custom now to keep business running!

Well mine arrived, as promised....sort of!

I had ordered the 12+12 deal by phone and had a verbal agreement that I could have 12 for Christmas, with one a month thereafter. I asked for
    5 Retro Sweets (various types)
    4 Galaxy
    1 Just Add Cheese
    1 Preserves/Jam
    1 Marmalade

Like other have reported, I have got 1 Retro Sweets (not too bad) and 1 Galaxy (very nicely filled - 150g hot chocolate, pack of caramel cake bars, 2x46g milk bars, 2x48g caramel bars, 1 45g hazelnut bar, 1 31g bubbles bar, 2x42g Minstrels, 1 33g Ripple and 3x38g "gift" truffle bars.

Technically, I suppose the the company has complied with the original offer of 2 hampers per month - I cannot prove I was promised 12 at once. If the company survives they can continue to send out 2 per month for the next 11 months that's OK...or I risk losing the balance as a creditor.
"Cheap", "Fast", "Right" -- pick two.

Is there anyone else who is unhappy with the coverage in the newspaper and the Trading Standards response? They have made it seem like a local company with one or two problems. No mention at all of the constant stream of lies that spew from this loathsome cretin's mouth (or Twitter feed to be more precise.) The one and only reason they shut the shop was because they were scared of cheated customers confronting them, and the one and only reason they stopped taking emails was so that they could ignore the hundreds of cancellation emails whilst continuing to send out substandard rubbish that isn't even packed into their so called bespoke hampers anymore.
im not happy as i was one of the people who contacted and spoke to the local paper but, this time yesterday nothing had been done so i think alot has happened today :D

I have cancelled my order and wouldn't take my chances... Yes it's a great deal if you get what you expect when you expect it but I would rather spend the £115 elsewhere now. There are lots of other deals out there!

Got my Christmas hampers from the 12 +12 but I got a galaxy one and a sweets one. Not sure what should be in them but gutted I didn't get the one with chutney and xmas cake.
  • Can't find anything about this on twitter........??
First of all, I haven't bought any hampers but do dip into here as I've been hoping people would be getting theirs. Just sort of want to help but couldn't think how.

Anyway, with twitter. If you type TheNHCompany into the search, all you get is Neil's tweets, along with anything he's retweeted. However, if you put @NHCompany (need the @ in ), you then see tweets to him and can get Top or All etc.

    Big hugs to all waiting.
