I'm feeling guilty now that I got mine and with a bit of mixing and a few small additions they were good.
I have tried to stay optimistic as I have 4 hampers to be delivered each month, but feel its going to be a troubled year waiting each month to see if I get them.
I did the deals to send to relatives each month as well as to myself but because of the different standards of hampers would be embarrassed if someone received one with only a few sweets in.
I hope he's still in business when my Feb ones are due !
    dont feel guilty :D
im just please some people have got something

I really don't know whether to adapt the 2 hampers I have received (swap the sweets and galaxy for more Christmassy items) and keep my fingers crossed for the other 11, or proceed with the refund claim I have already started. What are others doing? TIA

There was someone who said the UK mail lady said on no days did they have 2 van loads at all. Maybe one van with 1 imaginary friend van! Just rubbish.

Just looked at The Sun's tweets - can't see how they have expressed to be interested?
i did say im not into twitter, i thought i saw it mentioned
meaning those who do tweet could check

  • It might be an idea, for those who have spoken to the newspaper reporter, to write a letter for their letters page.
It may be best to start by thanking the paper for writing the article and then say how you were personally affected. Make sure your letter is marked 'for publication'. :)

I'll probably keep them. They're not worth £30 each but we didn't pay £30 for them, did we? Especially if you got all 24 at once. Although, if his business folds they've cost just over £50 each.

Is there anyone else who is unhappy with the coverage in the newspaper and the Trading Standards response? They have made it seem like a local company with one or two problems. No mention at all of the constant stream of lies that spew from this loathsome cretin's mouth (or Twitter feed to be more precise.) The one and only reason they shut the shop was because they were scared of cheated customers confronting them, and the one and only reason they stopped taking emails was so that they could ignore the hundreds of cancellation emails whilst continuing to send out substandard rubbish that isn't even packed into their so called bespoke hampers anymore.

What happens if his business folds? Would paypal still pay out to those who have opened a dispute?

For the most recent 6-month deal we wouldn't be getting hampers until the end of Jan I think? So wouldn't be able to open a dispute until after then.
