what did they say ?
Daren't ring up... once I get going on this topic I can't stop and didn't want them to think I was crazy:eek: sent an email with a few issues and asked them to contact me... not sure how interested they'll be at this time of year but feel better to be doing something!0 -
What do we do if we have received hampers with missing items or items substituted with lower value goods? I need to give my hampers as gifts but I have had to top them up with extra bits myself. Where do we stand legally? Can we ask for a partial refund or ask for the missing goods to be sent at a later date? What are others in this situation planning to do? I also discovered that the packaging on some of my hampers is damaged and will have to repackage them.
Also I should add that they never replied to my emails so everything was agreed over the phone. I have nothing in writing from them.0 -
I sent newspaper a link to this thread0

I have had a delivery!
Unfortunately it is only 1 of the 7 hampers I was expecting.
I ordered the 'Christmas Collection' at £98.00 which was a 3+3 deal and the basket I received was from this deal.
I ordered the 12 hamper deal as well.
I can't upload a photo as I don't have a flicker account.
The parcel came as a Next Day delivery via UKMail.
It looks nice but there is a rip in the cellophane.
I can't rember what the contents should have been but mine contained the following
1 x Pickled Onions
1 x Mixed Fruit Chutney
1 x John Lusty Salt & Black Pepper Oat Crackers
1 x Boulevard Cheese Nuggets
1 pack of what looks like mini oatcakes
1 x 115g Spinmaker Brussels Pate
1 x 115g Spinmaker Ardenne Pate
1 small jar of Spiced Apple Chutney
1 small jar of another chutney. Can't read what it is as jar is twisted round.
Strange that I only received one of my order. Maybe this is a ploy so that we cannot say that we didn't receive anything?
Maybe it's just me being a cynic.
Hope others have some luck today.
I've just had a look another look at my basket and I think I have actually received a 'Just Add Cheese' basket as I wiggled it about a bit and there lokks to be a cheese board hiding under some of the stuff.0 -
I have missing items and damaged packaging. Have taken pics etc. have emailed letter before action0

To those who have opened PayPal dispute and escalated, are you going to refuse delivery of hampers if they do turn up either before or after Xmas? (a massive 'if' with a flying pig attached)

mine arent going to get here but if they do i will have to accept as mine are the first two of 24 so i will still want a full refund to cover the other 22 i will be due. plus i have been lied to and asked for order to be cancelled if they cannot meet their own given deadlines.0 -

I believe one of the disputes you can raise with Paypal is "Goods not as described."
On the Trading Standards site is says that goods must be:
Of satisfactory quality - last for the time you would expect and be free of any defects
Fit for purpose – fit for the use described and any specific use you made clear to the trader
As described – match the description on packaging or what the trader told you.
I think EVERYONE who doesn't get them by their advertised "First week of December" has a right to claim that their goods aren't fit for purpose.0 -

Would we not have to return the goods though?0
