  • Just one more payment to go on this now and £310.00 left to play! Can't believe we got there but we did despite ups and downs along the way. If anyone is still reading this, my advice to you would be to stick at it and you will get there

Thank you, it's been quite a battle

She found it very tough and due to our financial situation I couldn't afford to visit her. No women's prisons in Wales, she eventually ended up in Eastwood Park, in Gloucestershire after one year and I managed to visit her twice there in 6 months but the rest of her sentence she was in Styal in Cheshire, aside from two weeks in Holloway whilst she was waiting to be 'housed'

She hated being moved as it meant she had to submit to an intimate search each time which was humiliating as you can imagine, that and the isolation were the worst things for her

She made some friends, the one is still in Styal now and they write to each other still. I have a feeling they were more than friends but I don't care, I'm just relieved she got through it!

I once spent the weekend in a police cell when I was 18 and that was bad enough so I'm so proud of her that she got through it and I believe this whole experience (prison, debt and DMP has made us Stronger and closer than ever

    Thanks for asking

Thank you, yes she certainly paid a heavy price for one drunken mistake, we all did but we are happier now than we have been for a long time

Had a look at my Credit File and noticed AP markers applied on both Halifax Current account and noticed AP markers on them, whereas Barclays and MBNA had applied a Default on both accounts dating back to October 2012.

This could potentially effect me getting a mortgage up until 2023 and the wife is keen to move house as our brood are growing up and moving on....

Just received a letter back regarding the Current Account and they agree that the account should have been closed down in January 2013 and have agreed to remove the AP markers from that date. They have also enclosed a cheque for £100 as compensation for any distress and inconvenience caused!

Hopefully I'll get some news regarding the Credit Card soon!

Did this through Resolver so didn't cost me a penny
