In view of your previous post on this thread regarding being on an voluntary arrangement via CAB I would think this account would come under this arrangement and so you perhaps would be better speaking to CAB regarding your debts and reclaiming bank charges.0 -
Would Be Grest If We Could Get It Back0

No The Agreement With The Cab Is Mine And Not Hubbys The Cis Bank Is His And Just His0

Hi I am with the LloydsTSB and am looking into trying to claim my bank charges back.
I have been on a reduced payment plan with them for the last 3 or so year consisting of 2 credit cards and a loan.
What I want to know is if I go ahead and try to claim these charges back which could be upto £1000 will they turn round and cancel my payment arrangment with them.
I am not to bothered if they take the charges and pay some of what I owe them, just concerned that they could get awkward and cancel my reduced payment plan as I know they could also close my bank account.
Thanks for any help0 -
Is the debt now with a debt collection agency or still with NatWest? If it's the former I doubt they'd cancel the arrangement as it's NatWest you're claiming charges back from, not them. There's a thread at the top of the page that contains details of who's closing accounts"Think for yourselves and allow others the privilege to do so too." Voltaire.0

Hi Milly,
If it helps, I'm claiming against First Direct who are in my Debt management. We owe them around £4,000. I'm just nearing the point where if FD don't offer to pay the full amount I'm claiming (>£3000), I will be filing a claim with the small claims court. If I take to them as far as the court stage I can add 8% interest taking the claim over what I owe them.
This is explained very easily on the consumer action group website:
https://www.consumeractiongroup.com
under the FAQ's.
Noone that's noone has lost their claim if they have followed advice and the clear instructions.
With regard to the DMP, my view and Payplan agreed with me when I checked, is that it;s not in the banks interest to cancel the DMP as if they take you to court and the figures for you DMP are accurate, the court will do exactly the same as your DMP, and the bank has wasted money in the process.
Payplan advised me to day that if (when) FD decide to settle, that they would write off my debt, and that as this would leave more per month for my creditors, that it would be inlikely to cause any problems.
Worse case scenario they pay themselves back their own money and your grand total debt drops.
Hope this helps. I'mjust waiting to see what FD get up to. I've already had an offer for half the amount I'm claiming0 -
No its still with the TSB bank0
