Postman banging on door

Oh he wouldn't ring the bell more than once or twice before writing the notification out no worry about that, but banging the door as if the police were about to break in is not on in my book.0

Our postman used to annoy me when he would ring the bell consistently (at least 5 times ding-dong-ding-dong-ding-dong!) at 9 am on a Saturday, every Saturday! This is a shared house of 6 mature professionals working Mond-Fri who only enjoy a lie in twice a week, and he reduced that to once. I felt like murdering him, thankfully he got replaced. We’re separate, two ghosts in one mirror, no nearer
Later on if it turns to chaos
Hurricane coming all around us
See the crack, pull it back from the window, you stay low..<3
Say when !0 -
I have the wireless type of where the receiver/bell until plugs into a mains socket, and I've lost count of the number of times I have unplugged it in order to use the socket for something else (normally a vacuum cleaner), and then either forgotten to plug the bell receiver back in, or have plugged it in but left the socket switched off.
I usually get made aware of this when the postie ends up knocking on the door as he can see that there is someone in but they are not responding to the bell.0 -
Yes it is normal to knock on a door banging on a door is just plain ignorant.0

Postman banging on door
If this is one of your major concerns and something you think worthy of starting a rant thread over ..Then I think you should take a moment to be thankful for how lucky you are ...0 -
Not really an answer is it, "The postman bagging on your door, don't you realise that people are starving" well yes actually I do but I was commenting on the postman banging on the door.0
-
It is a bit trivial. Do you realise the time restraints posties are under these days. Still think you'd have more to moan about if you didn't make it to the door on time.4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0

should have had him waterboarded at a minimum0 -
I would much rather my Postman banged on my door than have him think "Well he can whistle for his post - miserable git!".:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A
"Marleyboy you are a legend!"
MarleyBoy "You are the Greatest"
Marleyboy You Are A Legend!
Marleyboy speaks sense
marleyboy (total legend)
Marleyboy - You are, indeed, a legend.0 -
I would be eternally grateful if the postie banged on my door on a Saturday morning...but alas, he wont because I don't get mail delivered on a Saturday any more and am lucky in the week to get my post at all, usually around 5pm...if at all:D0
