Decided to keep a track of my goings on
LB Moment - 14-03-07 - Debt 27000
Due to a gambling addiction I put my family into debt and am now working my way out of it. Immediate aim to clear 2 of the debts, Flexi Loan with HSBC of £1996 plus Halifax of £2504.00. I have since taken a part time job and earning roughly £180 a month, by the time my 0% runs out and with the monthly payments made, I will have the £1800 pound saved plus I earn exra from car expenses of approximately £75.00 - £100 a month, therefore by December should have cleared these two off. I will then work on the Barclays loan which by then will be £3900. Finally the bigger debt with Tesco which is currently £17000.00 ish.
First expenses went into savings account this week - £80.00, will get first payment for part time job May 1st of - £180 ish.
Have got a TV for sale (cant find remote though) so probably only £20 from that.
The good news it is now nearly a month since I had a bet and dont even want to, having put my wife through hell when it all came out.
All my money is now handed to the better half who seems happier now I have taken on the extra work and am at last coming to terms with my problem.
Will update on a weekly basis only.
Take care all!!

That's happened to me this year too - I don't really understand why but something to do with work benefits. I'm on maternity leave now so I'm not sure what impact it will have, but it's annoying.
Did you manage to sell the TV?"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -

Oh that's a pain - our remote went down the back of the sofa the other day - we had to turn the sofa upside down and make a small hole in the bottom to get it back out! Have you checked down the back of yours?"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250

Just a though southwester, have you thought about reclaiming back the last 6 years unlawful bank charges, I have just started and in a very rough patch A & L took out of our 2 accounts £2,302.00 in charges, no matter how small the claim every little helps, in 6 mths they took out £700 in one account and the rest came out of the other account in the space of 6-12mths. With interest I am claiming back for £2,647.23 from them. worth a goExperian credit score as of Feb 2016 - 116
