My own mother won't go into my handbag without asking, and anyone caught reading my diary, work or otherwise, will have it snapped shut in front of their nose and the back of their hands smacked with it like a naughty child.

If you haven't told him you have a problem with his behaviour then he might genuinely not realise he is being creepy/weird/insert term here. If you ask him to respect your privacy (and that of your daughter) and he fails to do so, or tries to claim that you must be hiding something, politely ask for your door key back and tell him that he is not welcome to remain in your home unaccompanied anymore.

If he can't respect your boundaries, whatever they are, then the relationship will come to an end at some point. It might be your choice about how quickly that happens, because your privacy is your right. If you share things with him, that is your business.

    Good luck
