I have just received a Notice of Transfer of Proceedings informing me that the claim has been transferred to Barnet County Court. Has anyone any experience of Barnet. I have not been told that the cases are being stayed there too. Or is it a blanket stay now?
Also has anyone recently been to court say in the last month? Please reply.

MCOL are staying all claims automatically upon the bank defending. You should think carefully before using MCOL. Why not fill in a N1 form and either send it recorded delivery to your local county court office or hand deliver it if you're close enough. Good luck.0 -

hi everyone, newbie here but what a great site hope this is in the correct thread.
Q. Have paid a.nat £10.00 for list of charges and all they have sent are 2 months of account transactions we did in july 2001 to sept 2001 and a letterhead saying that a complete list is attached. which wasn`t and charges are fair etc...
have turned my house upside down and have found bank statements going back about 5 years, should i try and claim back the charges from these statements or chase up a/nat for statements i have paid for....any suggestions.
many thanks

All cases from MCOL go through Northampton court as this is their "local court" and yes, they are no longer transferring cases, from the MCOL website.

Bank Charge Claims
Please note that, for bank charge claims commenced through Money Claim Online, where the defendant files a defence or a holding defence, the claim will be stayed pending the judgment in the Office of Fair Trading test case. Claims will not be transferred to the appropriate local court.
However as not every court is staying claims you can, as suggested by peedoff go to your local court and get the forms from there and file through your local court. They will help you with what forms you need and the POC are in the Reclaim Help Thread.0 -
Help do I have 4 days till judgement by default?
I have been preparing for this stage for 6 months, I am claiming £2500 from abbey, and have followed the same path as everyone else seems to have done. I filed my claim with MCOL on 23rd July, and Abbey acknowledged on 2nd August. I recieved the standard letter from Abbey regarding the stays that thet were requesting. I spoke to the Northampton court admin department on Monday, and was told that they can only apply for a stay once a defence is filed. Can anyone confirm this?
If they dont do this by the 28 day deadline (this Saturday) shall I apply for judgment by default online?
I am hoping that Abbey have just forgotten to enter a defence against me?
What do you think my chances are?0 -
Yes, they still need to enter a defence but as your 28 days are up on a Saturday and even worse its a bank holiday on Monday so the bank will gain an extra few days before you can enter judgement online.0
-
The online system allows you to enter 24/7 so shall I go ahead a do it on Sat. Hoping that they process online stuff before thay open letters!!0
