I finally found the cheese tonight, it was so funny, went into my local no cheese, wandered round fought with the folks who don't speak the lingo (English), over the reductions as normal, managed to grab 3 of the sides of salmon which were £20 now half price £10 (what they are worth) reduced to £3.

Went back past the cheese and it had appeared, cleared the shelf went and scanned, it was £1.

Went to self serve after 3 blocks it called for assistance, SA was too busy talking to a friend came over and authorised, then went to pay till froze, red lights on the screen and the overhead light, whilst she tried to figure it out I said would it be easier to swap tills, she said yes, I lifted 1 block up , (I hadn't bagged anything just wanted to pay) suddenly the till came up to say bagging error, she swiped her card and it let me pay, then froze again, but wouldn't give any change system error.

Back she came said I'd not paid enough, so added an extra pound and it came back to say £1.96 change then died.

I got my money from CS whilst they rebooted the till.

Put my stash in the car, came back, went back to the reduced section the young lad was still reducing stuff, and saw the SA who helped me and she said where's the cheese that was "taken off sale", he said I just put it out, she told him it shouldn't be on the shop floor and went in a huff, I said to him don't suppose that's the cathedral city twin packs, he said yes.

I told him I had picked them up, he said they had 8 trays out the back this morning which the staff had helped themselves, so he put the last tray out, at that point the previously mentioned grabbers all moved straight down to the cheese isle in search of a bargain.

    Thanx to the original poster.

Someone had decided to put it back out in my local too. Still scanning £1 around 11.30pm. :j

So CHEESE GROMMITT :D, I mean Dodo finally got you some if you haven't managed too. :)

Hope you are ok after the procedure:). Look after yourself.

No cheese in C'avon or Dgn today but I think C'avon did have some and sold out so might be worth checking tomorrow.
    HTH :):)

Iamsohappy you must be local to me:beer:
I live between C'avon and P'down stores and just half a mile from the new As :D Was in C'avon around 8 last night and no sign of the cheese, not even a space or an sel. Doesn't show up on T.com either for me so not entirely sure it's stocked xx
