  • Hi, yes, today was a NSD at long last :D

    Two good things happened today:-

    1. My mobile phone bill was less than I thought so instead of having £5.74 left, I actually have £9.96 :j

    2. BF broke my elliptical cross trainer! Now that wasn't a good thing BUT since I only bought it from NE*t in February (when it cost me £250), I phoned them and they immediately arranged for a courier to come and pick it up. They don't stock it any more, so they're sending me the only other type they sell as a replacement (which costs £99) and crediting the balance to my account :T:T

My two eb*y buyers paid up so my parcels are all ready to go. I've got three items with bids up to £10 ending in a couple of days and I'm hoping they'll go higher.

Had a really useful conversation with a colleague at work today and he told me about a farmshop in the next village I didn't even know about. I'm going to go and have a look next week after payday and hopefully pick up a few bargains :D

I've done a few Toluna surveys today, but they're not showing up yet, don't know if they take a while to be credited or not. Also managed 20p on onepoll. Its going to take me ages to get to £40. I'm not doing any more, they're giving me a headache :D

  • a productive day for you :)

I want to start up surveys but I need the best ones!
  • Well done! I'm signed up to surveys but need to stop trying to do them on my iPhone as twice I've "not qualified" as you can't get flash. Computer only is a must.

  • Good morning! Hope everyone's ok this morning.

Surveys can be boring, but if you stick at it they do pay out. I've had two High Street vouchers from Toluna, but it took a while to collect enough points. I'm just going to try and do a couple every night and they'll soon add up :D

Just about to head off to work and its blowing a gale outside. I've got some Lobscouse in the slow cooker for this evening and just made some egg mayo sandwiches for work. Actually its not proper Lobscouse cos there's no meat in it, but if anyone asks I'll just say its veggie Lobscouse :D

Better go, if work is anything like yesterday, its going to be a long day. Might take a book with me x

  • Another of my bills came in today :(

    CC2 - £3,164.94 currently on 0%

I think I'm going to try and give my diary a signature, so then I can hopefully watch my totals going down.

I really don't know what came over me today. There's a house for sale in a village I'd really like to move to, so I phoned the estate agent and arranged a viewing. I don't know what I was thinking! I'll have to phone them tomorrow to cancel. I don't want to mess them around. I can't even afford the conveyancing fees never mind afford to move house! I don't believe myself sometimes :o

I can only blame it on my hormones, as its THAT time. It makes me prone to impulsive behaviour (which usually involves spending :o)

Other than my moment of madness this morning, nothing much else to report.

I made £5.20 on eb*y tonight and have about £29 bid on other items ending tomorrow. Its all going into my Christmas fund at the moment, as I have nothing saved.

  • Well done for the eBay bids. Definitely cancel the viewing, more for you so you don't fall in love with a property you can't have.

  • Ahhhh im a house fanatic - always on rightmove! there is a house round the corner from us that I really want to view but I am not even nearly in a position to move - boohoo! what are we like hey!

I was also thinking of a signature, i have just done a post on my diary with my figures in, have 2 debts i need to establish figures for but both are in hubs name so i need him to find out for me... been asking him for ages :-/ xx

  • Hugandroll - that's exactly what BF said. I'll probably fall head over heels for it if I go and see it :(

Homemadehappiness - I'm addicted to Rightmove. I don't know if I have itchy feet or if I'm still "finding" my feet after the split. I already have a perfectly nice house, it just needs a couple of things doing to it. I should just stay where I am, and after I've paid everything off I can sort them out (sensible head back on :D)

Haven't done any surveys tonight, been helping DS3 get quotes for car insurance. He's 17 and passed his test last week. We live in the back of beyond so a car is essential. What a nightmare! Young boys these days have no chance, prices are unbelievable. He has his eye on a 2nd hand 1.1 car. I've managed to find one quote for £1250 (car is only worth £300). Out of curiosity, I asked for a quote to insure him as a named driver on my car and the prices ranged from just over £8k to £23k - I only pay £215, I nearly fell off my chair

Right, just need to put his rugby kit in front of the log burner to dry overnight then I'm off to bed x

  • Good Morning x

Just a quick update before work. i've checked my N*xt account online and (gulp) my total is £658 but once I've made my payment and they've credited the returned goods including the faulty machine, that should be down to about £338 :j

I really need to get this paid off asap because the interest is very high on this one.

Just did a quick survey on Onepoll and made 15p before I even get to work :j

I'm a bit sad this morning because The Great British Bakeoff ended last night but I'm glad the young man won :D

For an hour every Tuesday night I've felt like I could bake anything, they make it look so easy.

Better go and get ready, it sounds like DS3 is up and about. I'll be back later with another update x

  • I heard a brilliant quote on the Radio this morning, so I've decided to borrow it and try and remember it whenever I feel like my debts aren't disappearing quickly enough.

I just need to figure out how to put it in my signature now :D
