Making chicken feed of my mortgage

I'm trying not to think about that bit yet Squirrel but I will have to soon as I also want to get the quarry tiles in the kitchen and the parquet flooring in the adjoining living room professionally restored.
I had a fab day yesterday
Finished work at lunch time
Travelled into London with Mr MWC
Dropped Mr MWC's bag at hotel (he's at a conference today & tomorrow)
Walked 30 minutes to a JL of H kitchen showroom
Met a super-lovely designer who was really enthusiastic (I'm very excited :j)
Had cocktails & dinner at Grain Store (bit £££ but very good)
Saw Lazarus, the David Bowie musical (bonkers!)
Got the train home by myself
We finally completed our will questionnaires and returned them to the solicitor - our estate could be worth in excess of £1M  1/3 to my family, 1/3 to Mr MWC's family & 1/3 to 3 of the charities that we support.
So much for the midwife reckoning that the baby would be early... my niece/nephew is now 2 days late... it has a very impatient aunt here!
And now it's nearly the weekend :TMortgage at highest (April 2008): ~£195,000
Mortgage-free: January 2021
Retired: June 2022 (186 months early!)0 -

I'm back at goal weight :T and I've treated myself to [STRIKE]some[/STRIKE] lots of new clothes

Hey muddy hope all is well.
Has the new niece/nephew made an appearance yet?
Was thinking of you (and by extension your brother) when I was flicking through my new book from the library - just your sort of thing, and MrMWC's too, I would have thought (from a cooking pov, not from the meat-free perspective )

You know me well Greying - we bought him that book last Christmas! I'll have to ask him if he has any favourite recipes from it.

Ah ha! I'm looking forward to maybe experimenting with tofu more, so it may well be a good book for me too

Ay up lovely.
Hope you are doing spiffingly
Was thinking of you on Saturday, I was looking at some 'snowflake' cut out decorations in W1lkins0ns and i saw a felt version on a tree in a shop as well, and it just reminded me of the glorious gift hampers that you make up at this time of year.
