MWC, if you are reading Tim Hale's book, may I recommend http://monevator.com/ , particularly the posts on passive investing.

The IFA is coming this morning for a follow-up appointment - I'm interested to hear what he has to say but won't make any decisions until I've finished reading!

Well done Mr MWC! Brilliant news :T

The white bean recipe sounds utterly delish
a penny picker upper. MFW approx 78% to go | FIRE 3 years worth (30% savings rate: now aiming for 40%!) | Normality is a paved road; it's comfortable to walk, but no flowers grow on it | Whatever you're meant to do, do it now. The conditions are always impossible | The only thing you absolutely have to know, is the location of the library
• We've entertained MFW royalty this evening ;)

Mr MWC cooked a curry feast :T

Spongy lentil cake with https://www.cooked.com/uk/Anjum-Anand/Quadrille-Publishing/Anjum39s-Indian-Vegetarian-Feast/Starters-and-snacks/Instant-tamarind-chutney-recipe"]tamarind chutney and spiced fish cakes with coriander & mint chutney to start

Followed by Punjabi chicken curry, velvety black lentil curry, rajma (red kidney bean curry), kurkiri bhindi (spicy crispy okra), rice, chapati & methi thepla

Our lovely guests provided dessert - mango & saffron ice cream with tropical fruit & white chocolate cookies and raspberry & gummi bear pavlova :)

4 more figs :T

Eggs IN 4
Eggs OUT 6 (1 box gifted)

• It's midday and I'm still in my dressing gown - I think I need a to do list (and a kick up the backside!)

Get washed & dressed!
Tidy the garden - it's been a bit neglected this month :(
Water the garden - we've not had enough rain here :(
Clean the chicken coop
Ironing
Check cupboards, fridge etc and meal plan

Mr MWC phoned the tax office on Friday to claim backdated pension tax relief (£1243 :T) and he also found out that there was a mistake on his P11D and he has been paying tax on his out of pocket expenses  (tax code adjusted for the rest of the year)

• On a 10-mile run this afternoon, Mr MWC tripped over a twig and landed in a nettle patch :rotfl:

(He really has been bitten by the running bug this year :T If you'd told me this time last year that he would be running 1 mile for fun, let alone 10, I wouldn't have believed you)

I been ruthless in the back garden and filled the wheelie bin - need to muck The Girls out now.
